Addictive

What a game, it is addicting and fun. You can play and never stop. Is not the typical 3-match game, and you need to look for the ball's movement and avoid the frozen time. Play it I guarunty you will love it.

It's bound to be SOMEONE's favourite game...

Avalanche may look like it's somekind of Tetris'ish Bubble Matching game. It falls somewhere in between, but does so literally.

This is one case where the game could have done BRILLIANTLY if they put much more work into the graphics. Peggle Deluxe, for instance, is not that great a concept, but it works because it's so over-the-top. In that respect, this came could have done much better if it was as earth shattering as some other games.

The concept has a really good starting point, but the offering of 3 different modes of play kind of makes you wonder what the intent of the game was in the first place. It's not a bad game, it just struggles to define itself. In fact, you will struggle too when trying to decide which game mode to start with, as they are all described as being quite similar, and no icon is prominent as the "main" mode of play.

As for myself, I liked playing Avalanche. However, when the connection between objects is SO crucial to your gameplay, you can't afford to have jagged graphics or a bad framerate. I stuck to "Avalanche Tactics" as a mode of play because I found it to be the most enjoyable one, and unfortunately, it's the one that resembles most other games.
