Battleship Chess

The classic game of Battleship has grown up! Ships move, submarines dive, and minesweepers sweep for mines. A simple upgrade system allows you to advance your ships as the game goes on. Choose from 5 periods in naval history as you fight single-battle or multi-battle wars. All beautifully animated in 3D. For 1 to 2 players.

Great innovation!

Wow, playing this game was quite refreshing! It combines the more complex and strategic battle simulation games with the less comlex and more tactical board games very well. At first I didn't know what to think about it since the level of detail on guns, historic ship names and so on didn't quite match with the moving and combat system which remembers more of games like ADMIRAL or, well CHESS. But then I really enjoyed this mixture which was new to me.

Especially the ability to play campaign games appealed to me. You could lose one battle and still win the campaigns. Make sacrifices or lose un purpose to win in the long run.

So if you love turn based games or if you like strategy games but are usually turned down by the complexity of most strategy titles, then Battleship Chess is the game for you!

But I have one complaint: While 1 hour of trial is enough to check out games like arcade top-down alien-shooters, it is not sufficient to test this one. Especially since game time is already running while you are reading the instructions! I hardly finished the small campaign that I started and still don't know what certain upgrades or special fields do because I didnÄt have the time to look it up. Also I haven't seen any destroyers or submarines yet - so I strongly recommend stoppping the clock while reading the manual!

A most fascinating game

Battleship chess is a guessing and strategy game which you will enjoy, playing alone or with your friends. It is like classic battleship board games but it is enhanced with fascinating 3D graphics and with richer functionality. A very pleasant way to spend your time.
