Not another Diner Dash, for sure - but is it any good?
Although being considered a very experienced player of these type of games (Diner Dash is my favourite by far), this is my first review.
But I will get to the point: Is Fever Frenzy any good?
+ (Positive points)
1. At last, this is a different game! No more reastaurants, cafeterias, hair salons, or anything else. This time, you have to deal with patients, and this is a whole new experience!
2. This game is funny! The patients have all types of diseases, like "cow disease" and "mother goose pump disease" and you actually see them transforming from cows, horses, geese, and everything else, into people, right in front of you. When they are human and healthy again, you feel a huge sense of accomplishment.
3. There are many different levels, and many challenges to face. This game is not like "Sally's sallon", which is too easy and gets you bored right from the start. No, this time you have to match the colour of the beds, chase monkeys away from the patients, entertain them with music, toys and soft drinks, arrange their relative's visits and fix their broken bamboo beds.
1. This game is TOO HARD! Given my experience in these games, i finished it in about 8 hours. Nevertheless, for the first time, I didn't manage to get an expert score! You would expect that this would feel challenging, but guess again: After replaying the levels again and again, I hardly ever get to have an expert score! I tried many different ways of doing things, but almost none of them worked! The thing gets worse in the jungle level, where everything is twistingly hard! In my opinion, we are not talking about a fun and challenging game, but a game that is "unfair" to the player.
2. It is unacceptable that you have to finish the game and then you can replay it, to achieve an expert score!
3. This game has huge loading times.
So, this is a new and brilliant idea. But how about being more realistic and less sadistic with the player? |

Excellent, imaginative, addicting!
Well, that's new! Fever Frenzy was the first one to show that, in this games category, you don't always need to be a restauranteur to have fun. This game, Miss Management, evolves the whole idea into something even more entertaining: You can be an office manager! Wow!
At first, I was deceived by the title: I thought that the "management" thing was like every other "tycoon" type of game... You know, like Coffee Tycoon, or Lemonade Tycoon... Just sitting them and watching money increase or the opposite. Nevertheless, this game is nothing like that. You can talk to people, do many different things, lead a whole team, fulfil various tasks, please your employees to raise their morale, and so much more.
Positive points:
| The graphics are nice (a bit "Dinner Dash"-y) and the music is ok.
|
| The gameplay is fantastic! Level by level, the game gets more demanding, you have more tasks, more extras to buy and help you, the work environment gets better all the time... You cannot stop playing, because you want to discover everything!
|
| There are main tasks, and optional ones. It is your choice, whether you want to spend more time playing the game and get into it, or do just the basics.
|
Negative points:
| This game is soooo addicting! Before you install it in your computer, finish your papers and cancel your dates. You will forget all about time. OH, GOD, I HAVE ALREADY MISSED AN APPOINTMENT! :P
|
I've said enough. One more word: This game is FUN! |

Well done - but too long...
This game COULD be the hit of the month - or even more. Nevertheless, if you are willing to try it all the way, some caffeine would be useful! No, seriously, when I started playing it, I was thrilled and excited. A little less than 4 hours later, when I finished it, I thought that ages had passed...
Positive points:
| The interface is FANTASTIC! This special agent presentation style is catchy and really gets you into the whole thing.
|
| The graphics are good and the music is Ok. The objects are in logical places and you can find them without too much effort. At last, not another random-click-and-hope-to-find game!
|
| The scenario is acceptable. Not too imaginative, though.
|
Negative points:
| This game is loooong... You have 20+ different missions, in the same cities and places again and again. Ok, objects are slightly varied (you have 1 - 2 new objects every time you play in the same area) but, in the end, you end up searching the same area for the 15th time, and you know exactly where everything is. At first, it feels good to only need 5 minutes for the whole mission, while the game itself gives you 50. But after a while, you can find the objects almost with closed eyes! You know where they are, you end up searching not them, but the whole point and the challenge... And you never find it.
|
| Also, it was too easy, I think. I don't mean that is should be sooo difficult, but as missions pass, you don't feel the whole thing getting trickier, only ridiculously easier.
|
In conclusion, this game could really rock. Only if there was a wider variety of objects and places...
It is better than:
Dream Day Wedding.
It is worse than:
Hidden Expedition - Everest. |

If you liked the first Cake Mania, you're gonna LOVE this one!
We have all missed Jill, haven't we? So, there she was, having a quiet (and a bit boring) life, enjoying her bakery empire, but new things can come up all the time... There are friends to be helped out, and new disasters to be prevented! So Jill, with her good old cake recipes and her well-known determination, sets out for new adventures...
The basics are the same: Bake delicious cakes, serve impatient clients, upgrade your equipment and save the day! Nevertheless, some things HAVE changed, and I am glad to say it's for the best!
Positive points:
| This time, it is YOU who gets to decide the storyline. Ok, I have gone as far as the second bakery until now and I suppose that no dramatic changes in the scenario can be done (eventually, I think that you will visit all the available places, only with different order). But still, after completing each year, it is nice to decide what to do next! If you really get different endings when all is over, it will be fantastic!
|
| The equipment is not much different (and, to be honest, how could it be?). However, you get to buy 3 different ovens and 3 frosting machines, and this means that you can have a greater variety of cakes! So, if you get some extra time, be creative!
|
| The graphics and music are Ok. (Though I have to say that I HATE the sound little brats make when they want to buy a cake - their "it's my turn" moto is sooo annoying!)
|
Negative points:
| I really can't think of anything. Only that, before being able to upgrade my ovens and frosting machines, I was a bit bored of waiting for the cakes to be prepared. Now everything is fine (and hectic :P) again!
|
Well, what else to say? If you liked the first Cake Mania, don't even download the demo first! Buy it from the beginning, sit in front of the computer and take supplies for the whole day with you! Go! :P |

3d gets in, all the fun gets out...
At first, while I was downloading the trial version of this game, I was thinking that this one could be a breakthrough indeed: Judging by the screenshots, the graphics were 3d, and this was great news...
On the other hand, the idea of a time management game in a salon, was old. After Sally's Salon, it would be kind of the same thing, only with pets.
Finally, after having played the game for 30 minutes and quit even before the trial version was over (that's also new!), I have to say that I haven't enjoyed the game. And I'll tell you why.
Positive points:
| 3d graphics! For Sims fans, you will definately like what you'll see. (Although I suppose that, one of the numerous expansions of this game, will already have involved pets! :P)
|
| Limitless customizing! You can do whatever you want with your shop! Paint the walls (there are MANY colors available), change the floor (with a lot of different tiles), buy furniture, upgrade your equipment... Just let your imagination do the rest.
|
| Not great difficulty completing assigned tasks (and not great challenge for the trained players either!)
|
Negative points:
| This game is SLOOOOOW... While you wait for the main character to actually move her hand, you can prepare your dinner, wash your hair, or watch your favorite TV show! And it takes time to have the pets washed or do their haircut also. It was supposed to get better after upgrading your equipment, but either I am too impatient, or the improvement was too little.
|
| I have completed a week so far, and the pets seem to be all the same: I mean, there are no strange pet owners, impatient or demanding ones. They are all the same, and it gets boring.
|
| Although the graphics were supposed to be the clue, nothing changes in the pet's appearance, after your treatment.
|
| You don't seem to have any goal. Ok, you are supposed to take over the great Pet Corp, but every level is the same, only with more clients.
|
So, how about getting an actual pet instead? |
