Not Bad, Not Bad at All.
Lego Fever is a very odd game. It tries really hard to be something more than an average game. And in some aspects, it becomes better than average.
The games story is in a comicbook fashion, which works well. It says that the world is a dull place and basically, you have to make it colorful again. It's pretty simple but it works.
There are few different kinds of play in this game. One is a game where you have to build a path for your constantly moving character to move across without going behind a rainbow that is chasing him. This is the most action you will find in the whole game. Seriously. Another is a game where you have to match three colored bricks together and make them dissapear. This is one mode where it the idea just doesn't "work". It was way too easy and I flew threw most of these puzzles. The last mode is one where you have build a path around a course to hit all the grey people and make them colorful again. Unlike the previous one this one "worked" and it was my favourite mode of play.
The sound in this game was nmothing special but it didn't make my ears bleed.
All in all this is a fun game, but wont be everyones cup of tea. |

"There will never be another game pulled off quite like this."
I don't give games five stars. If I give a game four, it must have been great. I'm going to give this game five stars for one reason:
There will never be another game pulled off quite like this.
In fact, when i called this a "game", I wasn't doing it justice. This is 11 games. Yes, 11. And every single one is worth at least 1 to 4 hours of your time. In the end this will create a long, long, LONG experince.
The graphics in this game are fantastic. They aren't graphics that will make you say "Wow!", but they are well made. They look very nice and fit the context of the game.
The sound is only effects. this may seem bad, but there is the sound of the ocean in the background and it takes you to snother place. It also makes you feel relaxed.
The gameplay is what sets this game apart. It is beyond five stars. If you are having trouble with one game, you can just play another. And there is always one game that you will get attached to. For me, it was jungle jump.
Tropix is beyond fun. It is one of 5 games I would give a 5 out of 5 on reflexive. DO yourself a favor, go and buy this game. |
