Neat
Referring to the title, I downloaded this out of complete boredom, 'cause I was interested in visiting the good old days back when Legos were more popular.
Anyway, to the game.
The main objective of the story is to return happiness, and color, to the dulled up world of Lego's. (Thats as far as I know because I haven't really finished the whole game yet, but you can probably learn more from the other reviews)
The graphics: Meh, nothing special. But it still has a certain charm to it to keep the average reflexive gamer hanging in there.
The sound: It could use more variety, part of the music is beeping, but its not even close to being bad enough to make your ears bleed, but it can get annoying sometimes (to me anyway). The sound effects, simply put, are basicly what you would hear if you were stacking legos on top/bottom of another (since that's how you progress through the game). Overall, the sound is 3~4 out of 5
The gameplay is unique out of most of the games in reflexive, but hence the name "Lego", the first word that comes to your mind is probably "Building". This game allows you to be a little creative, without forcing you to build exact blocks in a certain path or way to get to the goal. The only time when it DOES force you to build blocks in a certain way, is if it's introducing you to a new obstacle or block; but that's it.
Overall, this game is really nice to play if you need to get away from things and chill out. Or if you want to go back to your childhood and build legos again. So go ahead and give it a shot. |

Good
Chromadrome 2 is simply put, a race track with no competitors, but don't let that turn you down.
Graphics: The Graphics are meant to be eye-candy, but compared to todays graphics you see on high-tech games in stores, it's just average. But the graphics have alot of potential, and I mean ALOT. And also, if you have your own MP3, you can play it on the game (I don't know how yet, I really haven't looked into it that much) and the designs you see ahead of you move along to the song (like you would see in Windows Media Player). That saved it from a rating of 3, to a 4.
Sound: The music is Techno-ish in itself, and being a mild techno fan; I'd say I like it. And the sounds of the little atoms squeaking keep me amused, along with the warp effect sounds when you hit a certain "special path".
Gameplay: Now why did I give the gameplay a 3 when the game looks so darn good? Well, there's a "little" problem. On the 2nd~3rd level or so of the Green Arcade Campaign the game introduces you to these obstacle holes in the track. Well, that itself isn't a big deal, it actually brings a bit of challenge to the game, but the problem is AVOIDING the holes.
I've noticed that sometimes when I hit seemingly solid ground that's right next to a hole, I go through the track (and by through the track I mean literally through, as if your a ghost or something) and down on the ground which makes me fail the level. That's a minor glitch in itself but effects the gameplay somewhat. But that doesn't prevent you from enjoying the game, its just that you won't be able to make narrow escapes that well, and it will be tricky to land on one of those sections on the track where the road is 2 inches wide.
Overall: This game is great if your looking for something unique to play. The story is kind of..empty..but yet still good enough to make you play through some of the game. Despite the glitch in the gameplay, that won't stop you that much from playing. So download it, and give it a shot |

Very Nice
This game sticks out most of the "Diner Dash" style games. I don't even know where to start!
Graphics: The Graphics are simply amazing, eye-candy definitely. I saw no flaws in it whatsoever. Strangely, it had this Japanese feel to it, as if this was a translated game..But moving on.
Sound: Same with this, I saw no flaws with the sound. The music was nice, the sound effects were great. I just have nothing else to say about the sound.
The gameplay: Also the same, it was excellent. I liked where you could choose between different hairstyles for your customers until you saw what they liked, that part was really like a little simulator. And watching the pedestrians move outside your salon added a nice touch. Also, you could hire workers to help you out to make it easier on you. I'm still waiting for the challenge, because I'm at the 3rd salon and haven't lost a single customer yet, like the other review said.
Overall: Do NOT pass this game by. The graphics, sound, and gameplay will blow your mind away. If the screenshots don't convince you, the game itself will. So why are you reading this review? Click "Download Now"! |
