Wild West Wendy
This game was ok, not sure why everyone is raving about it so much - it's all a bit samey, nothing really happens, okay, so you shoot a couple of bad guys, but that's about it.
I finished it quite easily - never had to re-do a level, and to be honest, I got bored about half way through but wanted to finish it so I could say "I've finished that game!"
With other games in this genre - like Diner Dash or Mystic Inn, at least new elements are introduced to make the game play varied.
Wild West Wendy is a nice time filler as it's easy to play and not too challenging, but not deserving of a second play through like some of the others. |

Sushi Snooze
I love sushi - I love these delivery type games.... I did not love Sushi Frenzy.
I downloaded the demo as soon as I saw it come up, but wish I hadn't bothered now. I could hardly call this game a frenzy - it's monotous, boring, and quite frankly, looks like it was thrown together in a few hours.
You don't even make the sushi - you just match the ingredients to the customer and then the same piece of sushi kind of floats off to indicate that you've fulfilled the order. Would have been more fun if you made it, with the different types there are the possibilities for this game would have been great. I do hope someone else picks up on the sushi idea and makes a great game!
I uninstalled the demo after about 8 levels - I just know that it was going to be just more of the same blandness and that it wasn't going to offer me anything more exiting.
If you like the sushi theme, then try out The Apprentice: Los Angeles - now a full game of the sushi bar there would get me playing! |

Nanny Mania
I usually love these sorts of games where you have to follow a sequence of events and complete the day...
... however, this was boring beyond belief. It was the same repetitive dullness each and every day (a bit like real life housework!!)
You figure out early on that you leave them waiting for their dinner enabling you to clear up the rest of the house, and it's not difficult to get the perfect score each day.
I like games with a little bit more of a challenge than this, and certainly won't be getting the full version of this game.
It has the potential to be a good game, but right now it's a big thumbs down from me. |

I solved the Mystery!
A delightful game in the "Seek & Find" genre - but oh so different from all the others out there!
The setting is a mysterious island - of which there are 10 beaches for you to explore. Each island has 5 levels with varying amounts of "waves" per level.
With each new wave comes a pile of sea junk, broken seashells, rocks and items to find which include exotic seashells, seahorses and starfish.
You have soothing music in the background, and the sound of the waves as each one rolls in, bringing more goodies for you to find, is nice and relaxing. There is also a story that goes along as you play - as you find certain seashells you can hear the whisperings of the tale.
I found this game entertaining, and the graphics gorgeous to look at. I wanted to keep on playing to find out the end of the story! The levels have different degrees of difficulty - from down right easy, where I could find the objects no problem, to really hard where I couldn't see that elusive last object! As well as pictures of the object you have to find, there are also sillouettes and ???, making it all the more tricky! The timer does go pretty quickly - even quicker on certain levels, and the hint button takes a little while to fill up, enabling you to use it again, so use that sparingly.
You rack up points as you find the shells and other sea objects. As you find them, you start building up the bonus shell at the side - 2x, 3x, 4x your points - click on a broken shell or some other rogue object and this counter resets! The bonus counter is essential for building up your points to pass a level.
At the end of each island there is a puzzle to complete, which I just did by trial and error - you're not timed on this.
There is also an arcade mode where you have to survive as long as you can. Plus you can collect medals for reaching certain points within the game.
A nice game to chill out with. Play through to the end to find out the Mystery of Shark Island! |
