Simple and fun
First thing I always look for in a game is ease of control, without that games become easily frustrating. This one is pretty cool, a basic point, click and thrust with your left mouse button and fire with the right, and it's responsive too. Decent graphics and the music fits the gameplay. With 80 levels, I'm thinking of upgrading to the full game. |

Good idea, clumsy controls
I like these sort of games, but became really frustrated with the clumsy controls. I like the fact that it had a bit of a theme to it and a bit of interaction, but when it starts to get busy in the hatcheries then it shows its weak points. Could have been a really fun game with a bit more work.. |

Stay away
One good thing I can say about this game, is after counting the sheep I felt very tired, so if you suffer from insomnia then this is for you. Personally don't recommend it.. |

Not as good as they used to be..
I used to absolutely love side scrolling shooters and couldn't wait to give this a go after reading all the reviews.
Personally, I thought it was o.k. The graphics were nice and the music definitely gets you going, but I'm just constantly let down with every shooter these days.
The mouse controls are a little delayed, and unlike the olden style games such as Nemesis, R-type, Thunder force etc. etc. there was no element of precision, positioning or urgency, it was just kill as much as you need to, end of level and erm, that's it...
I'm sure if I had gotten more into it and seen the full blaze of the weapons glory, then I may have liked it a bit more, but I'm a past master at these sort of games and see flaws too easily.
I would say it was more for the young teen or someone who just fancies a bit of mind-less shooting from time to time, like I do, but I'm certainly not paying 30 dollars for it.. |
