Good game, but too fast

It's a great game, and definitely a break from standard catch-3...Sailor Moon-inspired graphics, I think, but it needs a slower computer than mine to be able to win, or some way to adjust the speed in-game?
Rather than just matching three, or trying to match a certain shape, you have to match one, two, or three, in the pattern specified in the upper-left window! This is an unusual concept, and should be applauded! (And yes, I have the old SNES Sailor Moon match-3 game)
Sound and video are topnotch, definitely remniscient of any Mahou Shoujo anime (Sailor Moon being merely the best/most visible of that genre), and the game is great, but a little too fast for me! I recommend getting it, though, because most people don't have a Core 2 Duo system! (I.e., most peoples' computers are slower, so the game would go at just the right speed--I tested this theory on a friend's computer!)
By "Too fast", I mean EVERYTHING...animations are too fast (But that's minor), but more importantly, new pieces drop from above way before I'm ready...There is no Strategy Mode available to mitigate! (And yes, I'm aware this isn't Collapse or Big Money)

Explosions of power!

This is a great "Match-3", easy to play, and the Talisman system of powerups is a neat touch!
Even better is the Lightning Meter. You highlight tiles, and if they're on the blue stuff you have to break (Just like boards in similar games), you get a lightning-bolt, or more than 1, if you have a really long matched set.
Once you collect a Talisman, it adds to your "war chest", and you can select whatever Talisman you like for each Level after that. Talismans only match with each other, rather than being wildcards like in other such games, but when you match 4 or more of them, they "detonate", or call down meteors, etc. And later, you get Talismans that give you MORE lightning-bolts, so you can REALLY make a thunderstorm! The game becomes easy to win, but hard to get an Expert Score--and unlike other games, you can't go back again! The timer goes faster and faster on each successive Level, so while the first few Levels are almost automatic, later ones are quite difficult, no matter what Talisman you choose.
Between each 5 Levels, you get a Bonus that resembles "Where is it from". Namely, you're given a fragment of the postcard-perfect picture you're looking at, possibly rotated to prevent recognition, and you have to click where it came from. If you do so, you get a LITTLE extra time. This does great to break up the monotony, but it feels like an entirely different game, like 5 Monkeys or something.
Overall, a great game, but they need to add in a way to go back and try to get Expert WITHOUT restarting the whole game!

Settlers Junior

This is basically an upgraded, flashier, SIMPLER version of an old game called Settlers. Luckily, the resources here auto-accumulate, and the buildings are already preset too, so you don't have to worry about maintaining supply lines.
That does NOT mean it's EASIER, though, as this is a game about numbers, plain and simple, whoever has MORE troops wins, and the computer is gathering ITS strength just as you gather yours.
You can conquer villages for food, and mines for gold, build fences (Invisible) around them to keep the guards you send to them safer, but be careful, some later upgrades can raise production of one side, but lower the other, such as villages, you can produce more food OR more villagers, but after the first upgrade of each, the next upgrade downgrades the other production!
Graphics are TRULY amazing, and the game is completely intuitive, select and build with left-click, attack or reinforce with right-click, and huge shockwaves of light announce every upgrade of you or your enemy. BEAUTIFUL!
The troops skip to their objective and fight in a happily cartoonish, "Asterix and Obelix" way, and casualties are shown as little angel-wings rising from the scene of combat.
This game is completely kid-safe, but good for anyone who enjoys a good RTS...Last RTS game this good was Master of Defense! The graphics are as good as SACRIFICE! (Commercial game, first-person RTS.)
Note: This game does NOT have any building of new structures, you just reinforce and upgrade existing structures, more like a real-time RISK, rather than WarCraft. If you want WarCraft-style play, building a base, and selecting what soldiers to build, try Deep Quest instead. Here, ALL troops are produced automatically, over time, and all structures are there. You just have to conquer each one.
I LOVE THIS GAME!

Best Inlay Game so far!

This is DEFINITELY the best inlay game yet! It's been a long time since the last inlay-genre game, "Temple of Tangram", and it's DEFINITELY worth the wait! Random--and CREATIVE--powerups, an ingenious "Stone Dog" (Instead of destroying unwanted shapes udderly, they get "crunched" into single-space shapes!), a hexagonal grid system, and cool "ripple" transitions between levels, and even when you turn on and off the Menu to pause the game!
A single level of the game can last as long as you want, since the game every so often "showers" the playfield with new spaces, and formerly useless shapes can suddenly fit in the "new" area, locked areas provide a bonus if you clear them all at once, and the powerups are different than normal:
Rain washes away some of the empty spaces, a magnet can clear a vertical swath with "lightning", ice clears a circular area around itself, and an axe destroys shapes you don't want AND can't fit in the Stone Dog--and leaves cracks in the "glass" behind the shapes! THAT is an unexpected extra touch!
After you beat a level, the creature that was "imprisoned" behind the hexes flashes the hexes of the playfield one last time, like scales or a forcefield or something...VERY nice graphical flair...And, of course, the rippling effect between levels, or when you bring up the Menu...I LOVE IT!
The only way it could be better is if it let you "buy" upgrades to the powerups, a la Tile Quest or the more recent ClaySide!

Jewels and Totems

Although it feels like an advanced version of Sky Mountain Deluxe, it's a lot better in graphics and sound! I DO think the game needs a Relax Mode, because I have to take extra time to plan and setup subsequent matches...
Otherwise, truly topnotch game, and even has a storyline!
Fewer people will probably be offended by this game than Sky Mountain, since there's no metaphysical content, no souls to be saved, etc.
The powerups are also brilliantly designed, and the graphics are AMAZING for a "Match 3-5" game!
