One of the best among "find the hidden objects" games

I've played several of Reflexive's "find the object" games -- some with good plotlines, some with very poor ones. Plotwise, I think Death on the Nile was definitely the best. Unfortunately, it seemed to end kind of abruptly, and the player didn't really need to figure out what any of the clues meant, so long as they were collected. Still, it was highly enjoyable, and if you enjoyed the Mystery Case Files series, you'll probably thoroughly enjoy Death on the Nile.

Worth a look...

I've been addicted to item-hunting type games since I discovered Mystery Case Files, and I've played almost all of the ones offered on Reflexive. I would say that for me, "Secrets of Great Art" is in the top 10. The paintings were beautiful (with credit to the artists provided), and the objects well hidden. I also liked the "spot the difference" puzzles. The story, I felt, did leave a little something to be desired. It didn't really seem to make much sense, and the sketches of the characters were not quite the quality I'd have expected from a game that was very well done in so many other areas. And of course, the game ends with a cliffhanger. I certainly hope the sequel is not far behind. If you like this game, I'd also recommend the Mystery Case Files series, Little Shop of Treasures, and Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile. Conversely, if you have played these games and enjoyed them, you'll most likely enjoy Secrets of Great Art.

Not the most well-done game I've ever played...

I fully enjoyed all of the MCF games (especially Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst), and Hidden Expedition: Titanic and Little Shop of Treasures were also well-done in this same vein, but I was fairly disappointed with Hide & Secret. The interface was sluggish for me personally, I got annoyed by the characters darting across the screen to collect the objects, and the voice acting was rather shoddy (maybe this is an unfair judgment considering that I've done a couple of voice-overs myself, but I digress). The graphics in the rooms themselves were good, but on the characters? I've honestly seen better in free fan-created games. The concept had promise, if one could get past the poorly-drawn and poorly-voiced characters.

Like a bad trip...

I downloaded Mysteryville in the hopes of finding a great game in the tradition of Mystery Case Files and the like. Unfortunately, Mysteryville really didn't deliver. The graphics were so-so, the gameplay fair, and the plotline? Well, in a word, ridiculous. The dialogue is strange and contrived, and the plot jumps around in convoluted circles like a bullfrog with an inner ear infection. If you're used to the quality of MCF, you'll definitely be disappointed.
