Good little game
I liked the first Turtle Odyssey because it was fun playing with it. I tried the second one, to see how it looks.
The truth is that there is not much difference between the first and the second game, so people who liked the first will like the second very obviously. I ccouldn't remember how long I took to complete the first game (I don't know if I even completed it entirely) but this one is a very short game (6 levels) and quiet easy.
The graphics improved since the first one, the design of the levels are well done, and it looks really nice.
The sound effects are also good, nothing to add really.
I advise you to try it if you liked the first Turtle Odyssey, and games like Supercow or The Tuttles Madcap Misadventures. |

An original fantasy platform game
The reason why I wanted to get this game is because I liked very much The Great Tree and from the screenshots this one looked similar.
Well, finally I played with Wik & The Fable of Souls. The atmosphere was similar to The Great Tree, but the game itself different.
In this game, you are controlling a little frog and you have to collect little caterpillars and coins. You can use your long tongue to catch bugs, or even to hang.
The frog is easy to control you only have to use the mouse.
The graphics are good, the levels are weel-designed.
The sound effects could have hardly been better.
This game is not so addictive as Luxor 3 or Diner Dash 2, which is quiet good because you don't sit all day in front of your computer, but at the same time it happens (to me) that you just stop playing after 15 minutes.
This game is really orginal, but people should try the demo first and than buy it, after thinking twice. |

Fun, but overrated.
We all know the good old game, where you are with a spacecraft, and you have to shoot other spacecrafts that are attacking you. Now, this game has been remade into all kind of different versions, and one day sombody had an idea: why not put chikens instead of spacecrafts? And that's how Chicken Invaders 3 was born.
As I heard a lot of good things about that game, I thought ok, I will try it. I got the game, and ...well... I wasn't impressed. The truth is that we can say more bad things than good things about this it.
The graphics are good, but the design is not as orginal as in Platypus. The background is always the same, and you can see it from the screenshots (it's true that we are in space, but there could have been planets, the sky could have taken different colours etc.)The sound and the music is quiet the same in each level, so after a while I turned the volume down, and it was better.
The game itself is repetitive, and therefore, gets boring after a while. The types of chicken ennemies could have been different ( pirate chickens for example -lol- or whatever...)The chickens are always the same, and there are only a few differents ennemies like asteroids or missiles.
They attack with eggs, which there lay. These eggs are not shot, and they are moving slowly in our way, which makes more of a minefield than a shooting field, which is also a negative part.
Well, as in every good thing there is a bad thing, in every bad thing there can be good things. So...
The game is really funny. Its absurdity, the titles of some levels and some more.
As other games on this site, this one is also good for a lazy sunday, despite its bad qualities.
The bosses at the end of each level are good, even if it takes us quiet a long time to destroy them.
There are also different kind of weapons.
To put it in a nutshell, Chicken Invaders 3 is a fun game, but has many bad quialities : especially the design and the gameplay are repetitive. |

My personal favorite
This was the first game I played from reflexive. Since, I have played with many games from that site but only the Luxor series came close to how good that game is.
In Platypus you have to control a plane and shoot the ennemies such as boats, trains other planes etc.
Before I tried the game, I thought that this is gonna be another "shoot the enemy planes with your plane" game, which can be found in trillions of different versions.I discovered that Platypus is far from that. It has an orginality and a style that no other game in this kind of category has.
The graphics are simply amazing. The design is a unique modeling clay style which makes the originality of that game the most. The background design is very attractive, always changes as you are getting through the level (and we can see the enemies coming there too, very well done !). The design of the damage made on the enemies are also superb. It's an element that makes you pay attention to it.
The sound effects seemed very simple the first time, but they are actually very appropriate to the style, they melt in the game. So, another postive point here.
Playing the game is very easy: one mouse. One button. And these will make you an amazing game experience. The different missiles available in the game are very good and well invented.
You'll have a great time playing with Platypus, it really worth checking it out! You won't be disappointed! |

Perfect for a lazy sunday
Supercow is actually a great little fun game.
You can find all elements of a typical platform game in it.
The graphics are quiet good. The background is nicely decorated but the they should have worked more on the design of the enemies which appear in a fair 3D.
The sound effects are good, but the music can become very irritating after a while...
Supercow is more a game for little children who will enjoy it more, but bigger children and even adults might like it, but they will find the game easy. |
