Perfection
Thats the best space shooter I and you, dear reader, will ever play! Although the first levels are quite challenging, you gotta have the complete version to experience what Alien Stars offers. And that impression I've come to just from playing 10 or so levels at a friends place!
The sound is amazing for such a small game or for any game for that manner. Same goes for graphics and game play... |

Back on track!
To be honest, just for no reason I didnt like StarDefender 2. But now 3 gave my hopes back. I really like it, really. A bit more dynamic, better graphics (well I was kinda hoping for 1024x768 resolution but still..) great effects. What makes it good are the new bonuses, a lot and really functional! And its more challanging as I see it, defenetly a plus.
Thers only one thing, why someone please tell me why does my ship has to be stuck on the bottom? If the player could move the ship everywhere this, in my humble opinion, would be one of the best arcade games ever. |

All-Out Madness!
I've played other games, small games with good graphics and I thought this one will also have good graphics. I was wrong. The graphics quality went far beyond my expectations, its more than great! Texture filtering, light effects everything...
I wasn't hoping on sound quality, once again im astonished. Unlike the majority of arcade games DZT has actual soundtrack by real artists! Awesome Drum 'n' Bass tracks.
I also liked gameplay, it was just what I've been waiting for, not a hard game, non-stop action and lots and lots of enemies. I've been playing it for 3 or 4 hours now and all these levels (I havent finished the game yet, its long! Great plus!) have been unique the map is large and you can choose from virtualy unlimited amount of pathways, even blasting your way through walls! Shure, landing your dropship might be boring for some people but you can allways (..well if you have 120 000 bucks, that is..) buy the auto pilot gadget for the dropship and manual landing is no longer required.
Im afraid I cant compare it to other games, Devastation Zone Troopers is simply unique. |

Goo!
Ah Gish.
It's amazing. I haven't played a lot of this kind of game but I'm sure there won't be a better one anyway!
Maybe it needs some more levels. Or a sequel or expansion, I need more! More enemies too. Oh I just love to pop out the head of the big ones (jump on their head, sticky your self and then jump and make yourself hard at the apex of the small jumps without releasing stickiness)
I went through it twice already and guess what, It has an alternative ending. The second time I vanquished Hera I managed to stick myself to both wall and cage and I saved my girlfriend! |
