Long, but a worthwhile game.
In this game, you help a group of refugees from a previously destroyed island begin building a new home. The game runs itself in some cases, but in others particularly when you are first starting, you need to give lots and lots of care to your village, or you might wake up with an island of skeletons the next day. This game runs even when you are not playing it, so if you are just starting off, you should hit pause, and quit the game. After you research level 3 farming however, you are (mostly) unstopable. This game can be frustrating, particularly if you get a lot of bad random events. For example, I've had to restart my file about three times now because I had a 'typhoon' which completely destroyed my food reserve. Another one, I had two bad events of losing tech points and I couldn't even get level 2 farming before the berry bush was fully harvested. and the final one, was all of my villagers becoming ill, and dying. Overall though, this game takes a long time to play, but if you love nurturing and caring for a settlement, with no real time constraints, this game is for you. If you're a hardcore shoot em up fan who wants lots of action however? This game is not for you. |

Interesting.
Brickquest is a very interesting break out style game, where you have actual objectives to accomplish, which makes it very unique to the genre. It has decent music, and graphics, and can provide hours of entertainment. The downsides however, are that most of the powerups are very short lasting, and the physics of the paddle is rather odd compared to most other breakout games. For example, in Ricochet, if you hit the ball on the right side of the paddle with the ball catcher, it will go right all the time. On this game, I've had it where the ball went to the left. This makes aiming the ball on this game extremely difficult and frustrating. Overall though, the game was well worth playing. |

It's a good game but...
This is a good game, however... I have a few minor complaints. For one, the single 'GODLY POWERFUL' monsters that they have, one at a time are a tad on the unbalancing side against the player. Especially early on in the game. It gets annoying losing 15 people to a monster that is blatantly unstopable. Even with two ice towers, and four level 5 land towers hitting this one creature in the ice caves, he still managed to get through with over half of his health. So, if you play this game, make sure you prepare to get some losses no matter how good you build your defense early on and don't get frustrated. Overall however, I would highly recommend this game. |

Umm...
This game was quite unbalanced to the player. The 'level up' system on the game is a joke, the monsters level up when you do, so what is the point in leveling up to get more powerful if your enemies do too? Furthermore, for all the reviews that say the game is like diablo, diablo had physical attacks that you couldn't really run out of, this game uses nothing but magical attacks aside from the stone curse attack where you get a melee hit. Furthermore, on diablo games, the monsters don't level up with you like they do on this one. On a plus side, it has good sounds and somewhat decent graphics. |

Well...
Looking at all the rather poor reviews as of December 20th 2006, I decided to try the game, I find I often disagree with people. And I honestly for once have to say I agree with them. This game is like Pizza Frenzy, but it's ridiculously faster. Still, it has pretty good graphics and sounds, but nothing I personally would like. I of course cannot speak for everyone, little kids may like the game. |
