Breakout Like Never Before
After I had played the Ricochet series, none of the other breakout games on Reflexive actually held my attention. Ricochet was an extremely well crafted game.
N then along came Reaxxion. At first glance, I didn't think I'd like it n so didn't even bother downloading. But as I had exhausted the others, I decided to give this small game a try. N what can I say, Its got me hooked to it.
With an amazing set of brightly neon color containers (I guess), this game was simply awesome. An orange tube to create a "Reaxxion" n a blue tube to get a power-up ... now this is amzing stuff ... coz this means that u dont have to rely on bricks giving u powerups.
The "Reaxxion" could either hive u a power-up upgrade or an extra life, depending on what percent of the bonus level u complete. The most fun thing is, u generate the balls, n hence u lose ur life only if u run out of the metal paddle; a beauty of an innovation.
An amzing sountrack that makes u keep goin ... I especially loved the times when "Reaxxion" was announced n even the announcing of the secret challenge level, which u get after u have collected 25 plasma spheres.
The bosses are an awesome lot too. Play it n I don't regret payin a penny for the game.
The graphics get a 5 star as they were what attracted me to the game in the first place. N even after the powerups the balls look beautiful.
The sound gets a rating of 5. Amazing background sounds keep you hooked n give u a feeling that u r actually IN the game.
The gameplay gets a 5 star rating. A never before gameplay with self ball creation n the concept of "Reaxxions" was amzing stuff for me.
Overall, if u even like breakout games, give this game a try. Of all the games in the site, this is the best, N i mean it. |

Hidden Treasure
After playing the Ricochet Series, all breakout games seem a bit too dull. But let that not stop u from trying this game out.
Playing breakout games is my favourite pastime now. This game came as no exception. The game is pretty simple. U travel from one part of the sea(I guess) to another, and along teh way break some bricks and trasure chests to collect booty. The best part is that u do not have to steer the ball to get rid of the stuck-corner pieces left at the end of the round. The game self-generates guns for u to use them against these last few pieces. A very good innovation.
It is in 3D. No options to change ur view as in Adventure Ball, but still the view is pretty alrite. The bonuses r like WOW! I loved them. No ball bonuses present I think, as far as I have played the game. But u have guns (the ususal) n then u hav torpedoes. Bat size shrinking n expansion looks pretty cool. Overall, I actually, pretty much liked it.
Graphics 4/5
The graphic designs are pretty good, with interesting bricks and bonuses. The background is the same throughout. Good looking paddle, a bit borrowed from Ricochet (I think, I have no idea which came first). Definitely good looking game.
Sound 4/5
Pretty good. Same styles nearly. But soothing to the ear. Not fast paced but a bit too slow.
Gameplay 5/5
Absolutely loved the gameplay. I usually do not like 3D breakout but this is addictive, trust me. Something new in bricks n styles in every level.
Overall 4/5
The game is pretty good and u can give it a go. 4 stars but that's only bcoz, I dont think ne game beats Ricochet. |

Snap Ur Way To Fun
I actually downloaded the game thinking that it was a hidden object game, only the objects wud be replaced by birds instead.
But instead it was a beautiful blend of that genre with nature and photography. Taking pics of the birds with ur 35 mm n then choosing which pics to keep by using "P.E.E.P" was fun. Finding the birds n then knowing what they were was very knowledge - enhancing/ The birds themselves were very beautiful, n I thought I cud keep clicking all day.
Haven't completed the game yet ... but will do that in a couple of days more. A game worth buying. |

Dreamy and so cute
The game makers have outdone themselves with this sequel. Oberon Media really deserves a pat on their back for bringing out such an amzing game back into the limelight.
Their earlier game, Dream Day Wedding, was perfect in all respects, and this one isn't any lesser. A good hawaiian theme music running as a background score is a soothing experience. Add to that the birds of paradise which give u one more hint on collecting five of them was a sweet surprise.
The locations, as their previous one, are as good looking and really set a standard for the hidden object games. The things are much more well arranged and thus harder to find, lol. But the objects are known to us, though they do have a small number of confusing items (like a mouse could be a computer mouse or a normal mouse, the furry kind).
All in all, for any gamer who likes thse kind of games, this is definitely worth a try and all those who don't like it too much will be planning their honeymoon themselves after playing this one.
In short, an awesome game. |

Awesomely Too Good
The game is just too good to be given adjectives as descriptions. No adjectives will just suffice. I agree with all the other reviews. It's just too good a game. The hours go away just like that. I mean poof and its already dinner time. I havent been able to complete the extra levels yet, though I am the Big Kahuna already.
I dunno what the highest u can go is. I have reached a height of 848% in the tiki height. Has someone gone higher. Do write another review and lemme know.
5 Stars to this one, but that's just bcoz I cant give anymore.
(Editor's Note:There is no maximum height you can get the Tiki Pole to, but it is fun to try and beat other people's heights, including people in your own home and others around the world.
You can go to our Big Kahuna Reef Forums found here:
http://www.reflexive.com/forums/index.php?c=1
and talk to others about how high their Tiki Totems have gone.) |
