Dig Deep
If you've ever played the Namco classic Mr Driller, then you'll instantly be able to get the most out of Shroomz.
Basically it's like being a character stuck in Tetris but in reverse. You begin the game with a massively deep screen full of mushrooms, and must dig your way from the top to the bottom where you reach the next level.
All the mushrooms are of varying colours, if 3 or more touch they burst, if you punch a group of the same colour the same happens.
When mushrooms burst any of the other mushrooms balanced above drop down. So you're constantly digging deeper and deeper, trying to look for safe spots to hide under.
This is an excellent game. The sound is a little irritating and repetative (luckily you can turn it off).
The controls (although you have a choice of Mouse or Keyboard) are overly responsive. What the designers should have included was a fire/punch button to remove mushrooms rather than simply walking towards them and having them burst automatically. |

Pot Shot Hot Shot
This an excellent little pool game.
the graphics are very crisp and clear, with a choice of different room backdrops. The graphical representation of the balls and the table are of a very high standard, with the shadows and the reflections of the light on the balls being very realistic & effective.
A special mention also goes to the ball & table physics. It is very accurate. The feel of speed and power to the shots are very well paced.
There is also the option of applying english (screw back), and topspin to the ball. This is also well handled, as you cannot put a deep screwback on a ball that is bang up against a cushion or an adjacent ball.
The only letdown is the lack of an online mode. If this was included I could see this game being very popular indeed. My favourite game of pool is 'Sierra Cool Pool', but without the online play it would be relegated to the back of the closet. DDD Pool surpasses Cool Pool in every respect, but is let down by the lack of an online facility, and for this reason alone I am afraid it will have to lose a few points. |

Another match 3
Zzzz... Yet another boring match 3 type game. It's been done hundreds of times before, and this offers nothing new.
Save yourself some time and wait until something fresher & different comes along. |

Buying a Turkey never felt so good
Great graphics and pretty good physics.
The sound isn't quite loud enough when you hit the pins. I would have prefered more of a racket.
Even though they are totally unrealistic, the Power-ups and ball control actually add to the game.
Kept me up all night. Very addictive!!! |

Pinball with no flippers
There is too much luck and not enough control in this game.
It's like playing pinball without the flippers.
Sure on 'one' stage you do get flippers, but for 90% of the game all you do is release a ball into the screen and watch it randomly bounce around. |
