Jojo is back!
I've been waiting for this game to appear on Reflexive for some time now, and didn't hesitate to purchase the full version.
If you liked the first Jojo's Fashion Show, you'll definitely like this one as well. Some of the old styles are still there, such as Western, Wedding, Summer, Fall, and Winter, and there are a lot of new styles as well, including (but not limited to) New York Casual, Pirate Gypsy, Boho Chic, Tropical, and African.
Jojo 2 offers a lot of new features, too. Some of the shows include male clothing as well as female, and there are new photo shoot levels that aren't exactly challenging, but are still something new to spice up the game a little bit. Like the old game, this one follows the storyline of Jojo Cruz and her daughter Rosalind through the various fashion weeks around the world. New characters include Avett, the photographer who has a thing for Ros, Jojo's mother, who lives in Chile, and the editor of FWD magazine, who seems to have it in for Ros, but really like Jojo. Besides the obvious returns of Jojo and Ros, Claudio Maximiro also returns as an unlikely friend and confidante of Jojo's.
Any fan of the first Jojo's Fashion Show will not be disappointed. This game offers all of the same intriguing game-play as the original, with new twists, clothing, characters, and game-play. A great way to waste a few hours and get caught up on some fashion sense. Definitely a must-have for fans of the original. |

Another Chocolatier
Being a fan of the entire "Chocolatier" series since the beginning, I did not hesitate to download this game. And I was not disappointed.
Although it bears very little resemblance to previous Chocolatier games, it does mention a lot of the Baumeister family, and the main character is Evangeline. The premise of the game is, Evangeline has decided to open candy stores around the world where customers can come in and buy the famous Baumeister line of chocolates straight out. She is testing out her shops in pretty remote locations, but that doesn't seem to stop her from getting customers.
The game itself is a lot like the "Cake Mania" series, in the sense that you take the customers order, make their chocolate, deliver it, and then take the money. There are all different kinds of chocolate, just like in the original "Chocolatier" game, ranging from bars, truffles, and pralines, to bottles and bowls of chocolates. The game itself is not difficult, although sometimes achieving the master scores can be a bit tricky. Like in all games of this type, you gain extra points by making chains of actions, and you can purchase power-ups, upgrades, and new machines for your stores at the beginning of each level.
Overall, although this isn't a very "Chocolatier" type game, it is very enjoyable for any fans of Diner Dash, Cake Mania-esque games. The graphics are as good as can be expected, the sound is non-obtrusive and doesn't get annoying, and the game can definitely be played for a few hours without getting bored. Overall, I enjoyed this game quite a bit. |
