Great seek and find
I enjoyed this game a lot. The story is absolutely fantastic, the graphics are amazing, and the gameplay is light and relaxed. There's no timer and no mis-click penalties so you can take your time to observe and click around. The hidden objects are small, but they're true to size and hidden in places you'd expect to find them (most of the time). It's not so much searching a room filled to the brim with junk as it is genuinely searching a fairly normally-used room with the occasional clutter here and there. There are a few mini-games thrown in that are pretty fun, although I thought some of them got boring after a while (analyzing chemicals, for example). The only REAL downside to this game, however, is the ending. The story is edge-of-your-seat gripping but the ending is too abrupt and dissatisfying. I was left saying to myself, "That's it?" I would've liked them to add another chapter or at least a "To be continued" to give it a truly great finish or the anticipation of a sequel. |

Do not play this trash - literally.
This game is NOT supposed to be a sim game. It's a point/click adventure game. You're supposed to be finding clues and unweaving a story, not really simulating anything.
With that said, it's pretty poor. It's made by the same people who made Legend of Crystal Valley, which is a far superior game. The point of adventure games is to explore, to find out, to solve puzzles and challenges relevant to the story plot. In Iron Roses, you're pretty much just doing everyone's chores. Instead of finding any real clues, you're *literally* digging through garbage to find paper scraps, bottle caps, and business cards. That's really the entire game.
There are a couple of moments where you have to actually use some brainwork and solve a dilemma but 95% of the game is "Here, look through this messy rubbish and find something that will be totally useless to your quest"
When you're not playing trash collector, you're given a few mini games, similar to guitar hero, a couple of matching games, and some traditional "put the puzzle pieces back together." None of the mini games are challenging in the least and I'm willing to bet a 7 yr old can easily accomplish every mini game on the first try.
And I have to say, throughout the entire game you're led to believe that Iron Roses is one of the best bands ever, but then once you hear it, the music is a HUGE disappointment. It's not even mediocre.
If you're looking for an adventure puzzler, I'd suggest trying out Legend of Crystal Valley or Emerald City Confidential and passing up Iron Roses. |

Great for slower dash players.
People that are really good at dash games will probably find Fitness Frenzy too slowly paced for their liking. However, people like me, who have tried consistently and have never been able to complete Diner Dash, will find this suits them better. I love dash games but I'm just plain bad at them - I get too anxious and then I lose control and stress out about halfway through the plot levels. But this one is paced a bit slower and easier for me to progress through, which I like cause I can actually get through the plot while still getting a challenge out of the levels.
Plus as another reviewer said, it cuts out the annoying "fillers" like having to go get a towel to clean a mess. When/if you hire staff to help you, they're actually COMPETENT! I hate dash games where the "help" has to be repeatedly clicked on and "woken up" in order to do their jobs. In Fitness Frenzy your staff is ready and alert by themselves at all times. |
