Build a lot - great game this year
Just wanted to share my thoughts on this game since i think its great.
I played the first Build a lot game and thought it was captivating and extremely well thought out. Reflexive games aren't always without programming errors and the like but both Build a lot one and two is flawless in that department.
I loved as these games gradually get harder forcing you to think of increasingly more effective ways of building your town until you have it all down.
I have now gotten the golden stars on every level in both games and especially the second game is quite challenging if you want to meet the fast deadline. Therefore this game offers great replayvalue for the money spent and is extremely well balanced and gives you several opportunities in terms of how you want to build.
If you look hard enough for a downside the sound gets a little repetetive after a while, but its easy to turn it down so just put on some music instead.
I can't give Build a lot and Build a lot town of the year enough kudos. I urge you to try it.

Risk 2 old vs new
Just got to say
This is risk and as such is a pretty great game, the AI functions reasonably well and its risk basically. Tried and testet and functions well.
Now they thought up something called same time action, which functions such that you choose everything you want to do, while the others do the same and everything happens at the same time. This is a pretty neat idea but in my view it doesn't work well at all. For this to work they had to change the way the dice work and instead of the 5 dice, they have just one and the rules aren't explained anywhere. Thus the rolls makes no sense at all and thats highly demotivating. Also i think the probabilities have changed since the originial way of doing it and its just useless basically.
That being said the original risk part functions perfectly and if you want to just play risk i can recommend this game.

Real estate dealings at its worst
There are both favorable and unfavorable reviews of this game but i have a hard time seeing why people could like it. There is a laughably short tutorial, that in no way reflects the complexity of this game. Now i was able to make money in this game but it hard to understand why your houses suddenly dont sell and even thought it can prolly be linked to the economy the game keeps you guessing and its simply not fun.
I luckely didnt buy this game and i didnt even play it for the full hour. I dont really recommend this game to anyone because while it is complex its not fun to figure out the game. Instead i recommend you get Build-a-lot and Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year which are both great well thought out games with a good learning curve and captivating gameplay.
Also the music is horribly but if your like me you want really listen to it long enough for it to bother you.
