And to think... I don't even like sequels!

I usually don't like sequels, for either movies or games, because they tend to take the strong points of the original and wear them out completely. Upon finishing the first DC, I was left wanting more, like so many others out there. As soon as Reflexive made DC2 available, I downloaded it and played it in its entirety, and I couldn't be more satisfied. PlayFirst lived-up to the expectations I held for this second part with new, as well as improved reused, puzzles. The storyline was further developed in DC2 and left us hanging for DC3! I'm very glad to know that they don't intend to abandon us just yet! If you haven't played the original Dream Chronicles, you may want to give it a shot first, since DC2 doesn't offer the "Hints" feature. If you liked the first you're sure to be blown away by the second!

Game synopsis: As with Dream Chronicles, travel through a variety of increasingly difficult puzzle levels to further unravel the storyline's mystery. Gem searches and collections continue to add a secondary goal, and replayability, to the game.

Gameplay critique: Each level provides a different puzzle, building in challenge, that employs a variety of problem-solving skills. The storyline/plot is strong, though it ends quite abruptly upon completion... leaving you wanting more. Though Dream Chronicles 2, like its predecessor, is relatively quick to finish, it is very replayable. Perfectionists and "Anything-you-can-do-I-can-do-betters" will enjoy the "Global" ranking feature!

Final thoughts: Seek-and-Find games are one thing. They don't even compare with Dream Chronicles 2! This is a terrific game for thinking people, though not for those looking to relax and unwind. :) I rate the "addiction" level as a 10, my max! Get yourself a comfy seat and a stress ball, it's going to be a long night! Again, I must say hats off to the Dream Chronicles team!!

I never thought it could be better but...

As I've stated before, I usually don't like sequels (for either movies or games) because they tend to take the strong points of the original and completely wear them out.
This game is one of the few exceptions. Like many others who have posted a review here, I absolutely loved the addition of the two separate stories. Although this is a relatively quick play, there is sufficient replayability for both stories. Similar to the 'old school' pick-a-path books, each storyline has various options that alter the outcome of the game. Ultimately, I feel this game is a bargain.

Game synopsis: As with all of the previously-released Dream Day games, the player ventures through several seek-and-find levels in search of items from a list. Finding "Bluebirds of Happiness" continue to add a secondary goal, and replayability, to the game. New mini-games, the scrapbook-building, and the crisis events are continued features in this installment.

Gameplay critique: As before, all list items are relatively visible, preventing frustrating hint-using for items that are seemingly non-existant. Experience from completing the previous DD games allows seasoned players to glide through this one fairly quickly. Though Dream Day Wedding 2, like its predecessors, is relatively quick to finish, it is very replayable. Finally, the very fast loading times make for smooth, efficient gameplay.

Final thoughts: Seek-and-Find games seem to be a dime a dozen anymore. In my honest opinion, most are not very challenging and provide little storyline interest. Dream Day Wedding 2 is a great option for those seeking a relaxing game that leaves you with a "cozy" feeling in the end.

An Outstanding Original!!!

If you're tired of the Sim/Strategy (Diner Dash) and Seek & Find (MCFs) game series or if you're simply looking for something truly challenging... you'll LOVE this game! As so many of the other reviewers have said, this is one game that deserves a sequel! The graphics are excellent and the puzzles are original. Exercise your mind and download it now!
Game synopsis: Travel through a variety of increasingly more difficult puzzle levels to unravel the storyline's mystery. Gem searches and collections add a secondary goal, not to mention replayability, to the game.
Gameplay critique: Each level provides a different puzzle, building in challenge, that employs a variety of problem-solving skills. The storyline/plot is strong, though it ends quite abruptly upon completion... leaving you wanting more. Though Dream Chronicles is relatively quick to finish, it is very replayable... especially for us perfectionists.
Final thoughts: This game has bumped Cake Mania from the top of my favorites list. I've not seen any other to match its challenge and originality. The whole Cyan Worlds "Myst" series (PC/non-Reflexive) is the only other game I know of to come close to Dream Chronicles, in terms of genre. Hats off to the Dream Chronicles team!!

Mania is right!

Another reviewer wrote that this game is strangely addictive. NO KIDDING! Not since "Cake Mania" have I enjoyed a click-management game so much! Diner Dash fanatics will enjoy the similar concept and anyone who likes click-management games will immediately fall in love with this adorable, original gem! I'm sorry to sound so "girly" but the airplanes are so cute with their little sounds and expressions. I even caught myself giggling at them. The awards add interest for the perfectionist in all of us. I disregarded the little helpful hints at the beginning of each level until I read the one stating "no one has gotten 3 stars on EVERY level". I'm on a mission now! Download this amazing creation and enjoy! This is not a game to pass by!

Now THAT'S what I call puzzle gaming!

Let me start with WOW! I came across this game as I was writing my review for Dream Chronicles 2. I thoroughly enjoy puzzle games that make you think versus those that simply ask you to look around the screen, seeking to find objects on a list. As with Dream Chronicles 1 & 2, Azada is a game of traditional logic & strategy puzzles. Looking at the screenshots, I wasn't entirely convinced that this game would live up to my expectations but I decided to give it a shot. To say that I was pleasantly surprised could be the understatement of the year. Four hours into the game, begging for more, I realized that my original estimations were very wrong. If you enjoyed either of the Dream Chronicles (or the "Myst" series from Cyan/Presto), you will love this game. If you don't believe me, download the trial and get ready for some REAL puzzle fun!

Game synopsis: Working through an entertaining, mysterious plot, which reminds me of Jumanji, the player is faced with a multitude of increasingly difficult puzzle levels intermixed with seek-and-find challenges. Many of the puzzle games are well-known classics but some are originals from the game creators.

Gameplay critique: Each level provides several different puzzles, building in degree of challenge as the player progresses, that employ a variety of problem-solving skills. Different from similar games, each puzzle is relatively quick to play, providing the player with a satisfied sense of accomplishment by the end. The storyline is strong and it ends with a hint at the second Azada in the making... just to get the player chomping at the bit.

Final thoughts: Unlike the Dream Chronicles series, Azada takes some time to complete, though each level runs anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes which seem to pass quickly. This game gives you the "positive feedback" your brain child needs as motivation to reach the end... "Good job on that one! What's next?" It's well-put-together and worth the money! Now go have fun!
