Not that bad, but not that great either.
Well, as the review title says; this game isn't too bad, but it isn't all that great either.
The pros: I personally do like how you can choose which character to play (timed versus relaxed modes). I also like the idea of being able to switch between list mode and picture mode on the items list. It is good to sometimes put a picture to what you're looking for; especially when you're having a hard time finding it. I also like how with each level you have to search for more and more items - making your search last that much longer.
The cons: The game loads way too slowly - especially in between each level and mini game. I also have to agree with a previous reviewer in saying that the comments/remarks of some characters are irritating and rather degrading towards women. The game itself isn't all that challenging either - for you can click and click until the cows come home and yet receive absolutely no penalties for it.
And lastly, I am rather divided between the graphics quality. I have to say that when it comes to each of the characters, the graphics are absolutely horrible. Yet on the other hand, the graphics in each search scene, I find, are really nice and rather magical. Each scene also has a little something extra to try and divert your attention (i.e. sparkles floating across the room).
It's an okay game, however I just do not see myself purchasing it. There are definitely much better seek-and-find games out there. Some of the concepts in this game are great - others are just stinky. |

That's it?
When I first saw this game, I thought oh wow great! Finally another game for us word wizards. But when I downloaded the game, it took me a whole 30 minutes to beat the entire game. Now, I like the concept the game was trying to go for in the story mode, but the problem is that there isn't too much of a story line to follow. You have a total of something like 15 to 20 levels - and then that's it - you've beaten the game. It was a real disappointment for me: not all that challenging and just not enough levels. Just isn't worth purchasing in my point of view. |
