A unique twist in god games

Reflexive has done it again, this new game has restored originality in god games. Not only does it come with a couple of new twists, I believe its the most interactive god game there is.

Instead of the common drag and drop commands, we now see more interactivity such as using spells and creating meals. The game doesn't adopt the "Real-time gameplay" so the game won't run when you're not playing. This game is really full of colours, though there's some amateurish graphics, but its pretty much exciting.

Audio is alright, no problems there. Graphics hands down beats all or probably most of the other god games, the game set is very vibrant and the ambiance of the game is very soothing. Gameplay is somewhat short, but its interesting to keep progressing throughout the game with new additions everytime. Spells are really unique in enhancing the games challenges and activities not to mention influencing your people "Sprouts".

No doubt this is a very interesting game, the only issue I had was the short time to finish the game, but at least you can still continue after that. I think the game can still be further improved and hope to see a sequel soon.

Charming and captivating

I like games of this genre: Virtual Villagers, My Tribe, Escape From Paradise, Wild Tribe. This one, as it was already mentioned by other reviewers, has its distinctive look and style. The Sprouts creatures are really charming, and the whole world looks colourful and lovely. You really have to look after your Sprouts by keeping them full, awake, curious and motivated. You need to fully control them by having them build structures, play with a ball, collect things etc. Sometimes, as the god, you even get offerings from them. When you gather enough Karma points, you unlock new spells which will help your Sprouts prosper.
These are first impressions only, based on 40 minutes of playing the demo, but I really enjoyed playing. Unfortunately I cannot afford paying $20, otherwise I think I would buy the game.

Very nice....quite different from most games in this genre

I'm always happy to see a new god game, and this one did not disappoint! :)

Although this game is in the easier category of god games (versus such games as Virtual Villagers and My Tribe), it's still fun to play.

In the game, you control an every-growing colony of 'sprouts': cute little creatures that obey your every whim. The game consists of the basic elements that characterize most god games: you can build things by dragging your sprouts onto them, and you can collect valuable little objects (in this case magical stones and butterflies).

In addition to its basic features, sprouts introduces something new--castable spells. These spells add some much-needed interactivity to the game....it's quite fun to let your sprouts play with a kite by blowing wind onto it, or having your garden grow by making it rain and then shining sun onto it.

And now, the best feature: Sprouts Adventure doesn't keep playing when you leave the game! I love this idea, since in other god games I keep forgetting about my little people and come back to find everyone dead. This approach of only having your characters progress while you are in the game is, in my opinion, a much better way of doing things, since it forces the developer to put more interactive things in the game and the player ends up with a much more immersive experience, since he's actually doing things, instead of just watching his people for a little while and then exiting the game.

Kudos, Reflexive!
