$20??

Postby quilthug » Mon Aug 10, 2009 2:07 am

Definitely not worth my $20. The game was WAY too short! Needed another 10 islands to work on to make it worthwhile. :(

Feeling a bit ripped off.

I dunno...
I reckon I played the game a dozen or twenty times, at least - and paid $20 per month for the privilege.
I never found it 'boring'. Each time I played I learned some new skill...
How to balance gaining Karma points against Community Welfare..
Noticing that, until the second sleeping hut was built, it was best to keep only two students in school so as to be able to synchronise sleeping and feeding of students and teacher...
Then, when you have the Magic Flower, there's a different way of synchronising teacher and students..
Plus, in the meantime, using flower and gift to keep other Sprouts fully motivated.
Blah blah blah...

It's a fun game.
Well worth more than one play.

Which game are you talking about? When I first read this post I thought it was Sprouts Adventure. But it is $6.99 at the reflexive website. I ask because I thought games were $6.99 or $9.99 at reflexive .com rather than $20.00 each or $20.00 per month? I also thought you could return it no questions asked within 30 days or something like that so I don't know if something has changed or if you are talking about a game that did not come from reflexive or it was bought somewhere else or maybe it's a different game altogether??

The game was initially just under $20 when first released. The $6.99 to $9.99 pricing is fairly recent (I'd have thought before August, but then that's a few months ago now...)

Some game sites allow you to subscribe for a monthly fee, and you can play ANY game as often as you like, as long as you keep up your subscription. I'm guessing that's what CCV is referring to. If you BUY the game from a portal, it's yours forever, and you don't have to keep paying for it.

Actually, I was talking about beta-testing and the $20 per month was what I had to pay for extra internet usage involved. Still, well worth it as far as I'm concerned. :D 8)

Not at all.
It's my favourite hobby. :D

I'm on unlimited usage now anyways, so there wouldn't be any such cost if it ever happened there was something new to work on.
