love yard sale junkie

loved this game. I thought that this game has a unique twist the the normal hidden objects game. I am getting ready to buy it and would recommend to others that they buy this game.

Junkie game

The concept of the game is really nice but it comes with many flaws. The major one being the graphics. Not only is the background fuzzy and hard to focus on but the actual "hidden" items are jagged and sometimes even hard to make out and it really ruins the enjoyment of the over-all game play (and not to mention hard on your eyes).

On a positive note I liked how it was sort of a dash/hidden object combined type of game. You have customers come around looking for certain items, once you find it (sometimes it's in plain sight, other times you have to drag and move around items to find it) you have to pick it up and drag it to them and then you get paid. Often times you have to decide which customer you want to sell the item to (generally the one offering the higher price), as there are customers looking for the same item. This can be a bit difficult at times because you'll have a customer asking for clock (for example) and once you find a clock hanging on the wall and you give it to them you don't get paid and you have to sit and think for a minute why, you'll soon figure it out... they asked for a clock, NOT a wall clock.

The game had great potential, but to me it seems like it was put together in a rush, making it appear sloppy and overall not very appealing.

Game Update!

Editor's Note: This unique game has been updated with the following improvements, making some of the previous reviews inaccurate:

  • Better sound.
  • When two customers are looking for items and one of them receive it, the other one goes away.
  • Improved images.
  • All surfboard images replaced.
  • Confusing names resolved (clock, wall clock, lamp, light, etc.)

This one wouldn't even sell at a yard sale

I have played alot, and I mean A LOT of hidden picture games. This one is in a class all by itsself... and way, way, way below the others. I uninstalled and deleted it from my harddrive before the third level. The Game starts typically enough, but as soon as you enter the first level it loses any appeal it may have started with. The sound is very low quality, and the graphics are a mess. The "hidden" objects look like over pixelated gif. files pasted on a polaroid. They stand out like a sore thumb. Not very challenging at all. It costs you nothing to download the demo and form your own opinion, but I did say I was going to start reviewing games. Just my humble opinion. Happy gaming!

    New version much better

Played the old version and the new, and it is much improved in the new version. If you have been playing the old version and been unsatisfied, you should try the new version.

I wish, though, developers would stop releasing these games wth blurry images. i am old, and my eyes aren't so good - I get a headache looking at these games sometimes!

(Editor's Note:The "new version" being referred to in this review is the updated version that is currently available for download that replaced the older version.

If you played or purchased the previous version, simply download the new version to play it.)
