Simply brilliant and adictive game!

This is that kind of game that if you're a western style lover you just can't stop playing. The characters have many hilarious lines and their voices are howdy delightful lol. The graphics are delectable the story line is good and you never get bored with so many missions always poping on the side. The music just makes you want even more to saddle up and shout yhiiiiahhhhhh!

Drove me NUTS, but loved it!

I don't know how many times I installed, and uninstalled this, but I couldn't get to sleep, I had to get back up and keep playing it, a little buggy here and there, but SO much fun, and the script was hilarious at times.
You don't know what funny is, until you've heard the infamous Scarface line - "Say hello, to my lil friend", said with a cowboy accent :)

There are several quests in this game, where you are asked to help out some poor cowboy & family, to re-build their towns, or something along those lines.
This can be VERY frustrating, as just when you've managed to get the town up and running, a tornado will wipe most of it out, hence - me deleting this game so many times hehehe.

There are bandits to fight, town upgrades to unlock, lumber to harvest, gold to mine, people to save, fires to put out, you name it, it's in there ;)

Of course, there is a mean old end boss, a nasty Russian bandit you must defeat, who has been causing all the havoc for each different town, but kicking his butt makes up for all the chaos he causes you on your quests. ;)

If you can make it to the end, it's all worth it, great game, a big thumbs up!

LOVE IT! And now I love it even more.

HOWDY Y'ALL! This game promises heaps of fun, it will take you back to memories of Oregon Trail but trust that it's far more entertaining and entirely up-to-date. The graphics are excellent, and the storylines are humorous and original. I have been addicted to this game since my husband bought it for me; in fact, he is regretting the purchase because now he can't get me off the computer!

Just when I thought I couldn't love this game any more, the creators revealed themselves as fellow "Dead Like Me" fans. The references to my favorite cancelled show nearly brought a tear to my eye! (Georgia Muth, "Big Brown Eyes" Herbig!) THANK YOU!!!

My only warning is that you might find yourself slipping into character after too much gameplay. I've already caught myself rocking on my heels, and dropping phrases like "mighty fine day" and "howdy pardner!" into casual conversation. Oh, and singing "Home, Home on the Range" in a southern accent in the shower...

Get it for the challenge and fun of a great sim, and then love it for the clever and witty dialogues!

As long as you Produce more food and water, gold and wood, than you USE, your town is OK and you can go about completing tasks without worrying about people starving or leaving (Click on the magnifying glass for the map, it shows your produce/use stats). It's critical!

To select someone who is moving around (like newly arrived settlers), draw a rectangle around them with your lasso; that will make them stand still.

Watch your gun men when you send them to fight: they will stop if their target moves on before they reach it.

Water and Food:
1) Water Towers are more expensive than Wells, but hold a lot more Water.
2) Famine dramatically slows the rate at which Food is harvested.
3) Ranches use Wood and Water, but each Citizen working there produces more Food than a Citizen at a Farm.
Based on 2 ratings, average score is 3.0.

Lawmen:
1) Focusing all your lawmen on a single Bandit at a time wins battles quickly.
2) A mix of Gunslingers and Deputies is more effective than one or the other alone.
3) Spend your money wisely. Gunslingers may cost more than deputies, but their fighting skills will make up for it. Sheriffs cost more than gunslingers, but they are better at exploring the land since they are on horseback. So, buy gunslingers for defense, sheriffs for scouts and perhaps avoid deputies altogether.

Sheriff:
In any part of the game where you have to keep the sheriff alive and you can hire gunslingers hide the sheriff in the woods or somewhere safe and use gunslingers to defeat all the bandits.
Based on 3 ratings, average score is 3.0.

I am not sure what level it is, but when you rescue the old couple with a chicken, watch where their chicken goes. If you return it to them, you get a secret level where you get to shoot chickens. Does not help out whith the game, but it is the only chicken you can select as a character and move around. Have fun with this.

General Information:
1) When a character is selected, if you hold down the Shift key and then left-click on the map, the character will move to that location.

3) Each Farm can support about 10 people.
4) Trading Posts are especially useful on maps with few resources.
5) Unlike Lumber Camps, Lumber Mills can gather Wood from any forested area.

Although a gunslinger cost more then a deputy, they cost less then a sheriff. They are much better than a deputy at fighting bandits. Sheriffs are good for exploring your land since they are on a horse and travel much faster than anyone else.

Drunks:

1) Sheriffs and Deputies can throw Drunks in jail to sober them up.
2) To Reform a drunk:
In order to reform a drunk, you must have a Sheriff's Office where you can sober them up at, and a Sheriff or Deputy to bring them in.
