Water Bugs - A good for the whole family

A charming animated puzzle. It's your job to build walls to eliminate sections of the game area without running into the "Water Bugs". There are crawlers and swimmers. The crawlers can attack your walls and the swimmers are always in the way. Even children can play this game. Based on logic and strategic moves, there is no race against the clock. Once you clear 85% of the board you move on to the next level.

It is a straight forward game built on a concept that sticks around. Many gamers that still play "jezzball" (which is just a grid with balls), will find this fantastic. The balls are replaced with animated sea creatures. The grids are replaced with great graphics. Each level is wonderfully different. Plus you can attack the creatures if you like. This is the type of game that is repeatably playable.

Kid's will love it, and the sound effects won't drive mom and dad nuts. There won't be any hand cramps from shooting. If your in the older crowd the long term goal is to beat your own high scores - at least that's what us old timers say. It's a fun game for relaxed play.

Nice

This game is not a puzzler, but I like it very much. The bugs are very nice and they'll try to destroy you. I enjoyed the demo and I'll buy the game as soon as possible.

Better than Jezzball

The game is better than jezzball, a lot better to say the least.

The graphics are good. The gameplay is interesting. Your aim is to clear, or rather fill, 85 % of the total area. The godd thing here (with respect to jezzball) is that on killing the bugs on the side that gets filled, at times pretty useful.

You will like it, if you liked Jezzball. Pretty addictive, but may become frustrating in later levels as there is a bug that starts clearing the places that you filled. So be careful.

The main trick here would be to fill the places where the bugs are.

You must have noticed that it is the smaller part that gets filled. So choose your places carefully. This is pretty useful, when you get anchors and then you can choose to make a partition in such a way that the smaller part gets filled in such a way that the bigger part gets very few bugs. This helps in faster completion in lesser attempts.

I dunno whether this is a trick or not. But at times, the jumping bugs (the ones that jump from one side of the screen to the other) cling on to your half left ropes. This can be used to your advantage. This may help you to at least retain your life and also helps when you have this bug in particularly nasty small places.
