The Lost Children: Villager Heaven

Better than the first, mainly due to the absence of the Golden Child, known for starting parties at the most in-opportune moments.

The basics are the same, food is ample, with coconuts, crops & fish to harvest.
The cemetary & huts are still there, though the graphics have improved immensely, and there is a stunning waterfall the villagers can relax in.
You have 16 new puzzles to solve, tech points to accumulate & spend, though this time there is Culture replacing Fertility, along with everything else that makes Virtual Villagers familiar.

New things, & there are quite a few, include The Gong Of Wonder, that when found and assembled, can be gonged once a day to grant, or take something from the village, be it health, food, youth, or tech points.

We have collections in this sequel.
Children can not only spot and pick mushrooms, but can be sent to pick up items from 48 available, including shells, butterflies, beetles and pebbles.
The items range from common, to rare, so you will be kept busy scouring Isola Island looking for them.
Once you have completed a set of 12 items, your village' max population goes up by five.
Speaking of population, there is also a temporary record kept in the villagers details screen, that shows who parented the villager you are looking at.

Culture makes way for the sewing hut, an excellent addition to the game.
Once it is built, you can drag and drop a villager onto it, & select a new outfit for 5000 tech points.
It may seem a little high, but this time around, tech points come thick and fast.
Items that are duplicates, brought to the Scientists hut, give you tech points.

We also have a hospital, that adds to the villagers longevity.
Another addition are the Totem Poles that appear once your villager has mastered 3 skills.
They become an Esteemed Elder and 1 of 8 Totems will appear in their honor.

You won't be bored with this one.

Well done LDW!

As good as I expected

I've always been a fan of Virtual Villagers ever since I downloaded the first edition.

But now LDW creates the sequel to it and I am extremely happy! Virtual Villagers 2 gives the same atmosphere for to the first edition. It requires a lot of patience as it still runs in real life time.
The new clothes was a great hit among myself.
The challenges were quite challenging and the Gong of Wonder acts about the same way as it did with the Golden Child.
The new challenges bring brain racking and it is a fantastic game!

I recommend this game to EVERYONE! I just can't wait for Virtual Villagers 3 to come out!!
