Turbo means fast which this IS NOT

This game is NOT anything turbo-related. Its slow, and does NOT give the player the options of easy, med, hard; which would be helpful considering the boring repetitious running of the game. For some reason, I cant get past Level 12, and this makes me irritable since the game is relatively simple. There is not a quest, nothing to win, except trophies, which do NOT allow you to get some free 'hints' to get past the certain levels you have trouble with.
Rated it fair to middlin' for fun and a big yawn for perpetual repeating. Sorry I wasted money on this one!

Not Quite Turbo...

The game play in Turbo Gems is something of a mix between Klax and Columns. You make matches of 3 or more by rotating the colors on the falling column. After any block disappears, the blocks above it will fall, which can create combos.

Turbo Gems is alright (I prefer the similar Zero Count ;), but but the game play seems slow. Each piece starts out partially off-screen, and it feels like a long wait for the piece to come far enough on screen for you to use it. (this problem is only compounded by the way the left-mouse button drops the piece to the bottom of the screen) There isn't any real quest other than the quest to get more trophies and unlock additional modes, and despite the nice variety of power-ups the game doesn't have enough substance to make it carry my interest for long periods of times. For a quick game here or there it works pretty well.

Plays beautifully!

I've never had a game play so smoothly on this computer. It was not the least bit sluggish. The graphics are great; simple, but interesting. I wish there was the option of difficulty levels, or more control over drop speed. You are able to drop directly down, which is useful, but it would be more convenient to be able to have more control over speed, without having to drop it right down into place.
