A game worth paying for!

Tradewinds Legends turned out to be more than I expected it to be! It's one of those games that takes you by surprise and throws you into a sea of fun, excitement, adventure and lots of jokes! This breathtaking game has officially become one of my favorites winning the spot with it's unique gameplay, quirky characters and almost-clean sense of humor. This game really was meant for pre-teens. They wouldn't get the many of the innuendos but the game -is- clean enough for them to play.

I played as Hasan my first time through and played many of the adventures not knowing what to expect. The first time I landed in a city, I didn't think of much happening. As I played into it, I saw the characters growing and developing into real adventurers, villains and less than chaste people. I played further and wanted to know more. So I did and this game won my heart in the process.

ways of earning easy money

one of the best games i have ever played.
this game has loads of surprises. This game has many easy & hard ways to earn money, it depends on how much money u have & how much u r ready to spend.
if u have less money travel more to find pirates and accept as many tasks as u can. battling pirates is one of the easiest way to earn money.
if u have around 100000-500000 buy many ships to take loads of cargo. Be sure to have many cannons as pirates are frequent.
if u 1 mil and above then buy warehouses and fill them with rugs. Dont sell them if u are having a profit of 1000-3000. rugs get caught by port authorities only when have them on your ship not when they are in the warehouse.
when the rugs are not available in the market u can sell them for 13000-18000.this earns u a lot of money.
i have also found that when u accept a task of bringing goods from other places u are often under paid.so what u do is wait till the prices come down and then buy them.
i once bought 10 crates of gunpwder for 7250 each(i.e. 72500 in total) while i was paid only 50000.

In this game bigger is definately better so try having big ships and big warehouses.

note:do not buy goods as soon as they are available check other ports and then buy them.

Very awesome

I just beat Tradewinds 2 and wanted to play more, and saw this the next day on here. It's simply amazing, the whole themes and story lines, and graphics too (of the ports and cities). it's also harder to make tons of money unlike tradewinds 2, so its gonna take a while to get boring. I hope I'm not about to beat this one too, cause I want to go on further and further..

Tips & Tricks for 'Tradewinds Legends':

Combat Tips:
  • Battles do not start until you fire the first shot. You can set up curses in advance and they will be cast on enemy ships as soon as you fire.
  • You can select specific ships that are unarmed or damaged and have them flee the battle while others stay on to fight. Unarmed ships can be good to keep around, as they can usually carry more cargo than armed ones.

There are 2 things that will give you a much better chance of concealing contraband. When you have a couple million to spare and you bought contraband, check the magic shops. There are the Crate of Secrets and the Chest of Secrets, once I bought it, I was only ever caught once. And later you will have enough money that you laugh it off.

    Port Tips:
  • Try to work on as many tasks as possible at the same time. It's amazing how fast you can accomplish multiple goals while in a particular port when you do this.
  • Hold the CTRL button to see which buildings are in a particular port.

once you can get into ports with any cargo ie the authroitys look away if you have weapons and they are banned you can get a much higher price for them pay 5500 for weapons and sell them on for 17000 in some cases

    replacing ships:
When you get to the point that you need to replace your ships with ones that fly, go find some pirates to fight and let them sink. The dinaris you get from winning the pirates are worth way more than selling your ships. remember to sell your cargo first

  • Get some cash quickly from the start by buying low and selling high as you move from 1 port to the next. Later on, when you have warehouse, move as much contraband item in as you can. Return later on to see if it's banned (marked by N/A at the price column in Bazaar) then sell them for great profit.
  • Try using curses as much as possible (Ifrit's Fire is good for starting, move on to Plague later on, use it on big ships to stop them from showering your fleet with cannonballs and probably destroy 1 or 2 cannons which costs even more than 1 Plague)

The first few times in battle you don't need to use your Curses. DON'T waste money on curses, buy cannons instead of curses. Target the strongest ships first. Build up cash first them borrow. Don't get in debt to the Invester, interest is high. Buy STORAGE. You get to fly once you have completed a certain number of Tasks. When you see ships that fly, sell a few floating ships, purchase storage, once flying, cash in from your storage. CHECK YOUR ITEMS, some of the items can bring you BAD LUCK. Keep paper handy to make a note of the Temple Advice, what and when to sell and buy, and who/what TASKS are to your disadvantage. SAVE YOUR GAMES...Happy Sailing.

Easy money in the early game (at least for the girl-in-debt): Amber and Oil. Forget salt. :D
