Back to the old days!
Titan Attacks is a rare thing, a new game that brings back the good old days , when graphics were not as important as the game play. The graphics here are ok but nothing spectacular which is in this case a really good thing. The game play is spectacular, starts of easy enough then get really interesting really quickly.
The game it self seems to be a mix of old time games like space invaders, pheonix, and asteroids and thats just through the first couple of motherships. It can be played using the mouse or the keyboard(the keys are redefinable). All in all i loved this game and would recommend it to anyone who wants an old school space invader that gets the just another level hype going all over again.Great game keep them coming! |

This is what games are supposed to be
Modern games are all about the graphics, sound and are not very challenging.
This on the other hand has good but not great graphics, no sound on my pc though i normally play my music instead, and starts simple but quickly becomes more and more difficult- every time you lose against a boss or a wave i had to try again and again, often leading to frustration. The upgrade system is cleverly designed as in that certain upgrades are needed to progress and need careful thought and consideration in to what needs to be purchased and what doesn't. I often tried to find the perfect combination- but i still haven't found it- i just enjoy some old fashioned fun like the old space invaders where blind luck isn't enough, skill and precision are needed as well as quick reactions. My main quarell with the game is that if you die- its game over- no continue point within worlds or levels. |

Is this a joke?
Seriously, is this a joke? It is like I was playing a game from the old Atari 2600. I am not sure what was going through the developers' heads, but this is just sad. The game play smooth, but then again its left-right-fire, so what is there to bog down?
Shooting aliens has been done hundreds of times, so why the need to go BACK in time to find the least engaging venue of this genre? |
