Great Episode

Overall
Well, beginning with Chapter 1, I have been pleasantly surprised by this game so far. I am new to the Monkey Island games (I never played the older games from long ago), but I have found this new title to be a lot of fun. I am glad Reflexive has this game in their catalog. The episodic element is the baseline for this new game, but I am left wondering what the major draw is to play each game in order. I could theoretically skip the first chapter(s) altogether. But I suppose a gamer either likes episodic games or doesn't. It is what it is. Nevertheless, I have found myself wanting to play each episode anyway, and I am eager for the third installment! However, I do wish that each episode was a bit cheaper.

Sound
The game music is really great, and the ambient music is also excellent. The voice-over work that is ubiquitous throughout this game is a huge draw. It is often funny and almost always amusing. So far all of the characters have had a talented voice actor behind them! The only issue I had with Chapter 2 was that the character Elaine's voice over dialogue was of poor audio quality. The "s" sounds sounded terrible. Other than that, I did not run across any major bugs.

Gameplay
A lot of fun. If you like puzzles that involve lots of trial and error, thinking back to previous conversations, and testing newly found items on various objects...you'll like the gameplay. The voice-over work makes the puzzles more interesting, giving one a reason to try doing things the wrong way just to see what the characters will say. Chapter 2 is relatively short, I finished it after about 2 hours (it is aabout the same length as Chapter 1).

Graphics
Great. The scenery and color blends are excellent. The texture work is also very good. I would say that the characters are obviously composed of polygons, but it is never distracting. It's a 3d cartoon basically.

Tales of Monkery Island Chapter 2.

Ok, this chapter definetely is as good as the first. Same problem there, too short but still good.

Graphics

Definetely one of the best graphics I have seen. No problems here.

Sound

Good especially the voice actings. No problems here.

Gameplay

Gameplay is really as fun as the previous chapter with many characters to interact with and you can choose your own dialogue options. It's really fun but may prove to be a challenge. No problems here.

Overall

Overall, this game is well made. Not much problems discovered from this chapter. Good game and well done!
