Not Long Enough
I was a little disappointed that the game wasn't longer. Bought it and should have done the demo first. I was through the game in an hour. Also moves much too slowly from each scenario. Will consider the sequel (demo first thank you)

Repetitive and Too Predictable
I bought this game foolishly on the description of the first reviewer who stated "you never visit the same place twice unlike other hide and seek games" I have no idea what this reviewer had in mind since this game is more repetitive, not less so, than most hide-and-seek games in that exactly the same objects are presented in exactly the same order (most games randomize the object list and order).
I did like the unusual descriptions of some of the objects, though a couple were hard to find not because of the clue or the placement but rather because of a poor drawing.
The game was way too short and repetitive. Sorry I bought it. |

Hard!!
I found the game difficult at times. Some of the clues were very vague. Did like the story line. |

Frustrating experience
The storyline seems interesting enough, but unfortunately the gameplay was really frustrating to me. Firstly, the slow-paced "find-5-objects-first-before-u-find-1-special-item" really tests my patience, as you have to repeat this procedure 5 times for each site. Besides this, I find the clues given are rather ambiguous at times, as there seemed to be more than one item that fit the clue description. Also, some items were hard to find, not because it was cleverly hidden but rather because the items did not really match the clue description well (e.g. some golden horse under the sea which appeared more wooden than golden, or some green item which isn't really green (i'm not colorblind, i think =P), or jug with supposedly two handles but one handle was obscured that you could hardly see it). There were items which were drawn very small with faint outlines that were impossible to find without using the hints (especially those under the sea). This makes me feel that the gameplay is rather unfair to the players. The creators should make the objects well-hidden, and yet at the same time drawn with well-defined outlines and colors. Another recent game "The Nightshift Code" and other good seek-and-find games e.g. MCF series and Little Shop series succeed in doing this, offering players challenging yet enjoyable gameplay. (In these games, at least I wouldn't yell out "Hey, that's not fair!" when I had to use hints for those hard-to-find objects =) ) |
