Match 3 Looks GOOD in Spandex

Let me preface this by saying that I am soooo tired of Match 3 type games. I loved the first few, but when the clone army showed up, it got old quick.

This game is every type of Match 3 you've ever played. The gem switching, the gem sliding, the gem dragging...it's all here. Plus a few other crazy other little ideas.

The games here, too, get old quick. But I could not stop playing.

The storyline of this game is hilarious. I cringed a bit at the crossdressing villain, but otherwise, everything is spot on and laugh out loud funny. I kept playing just to level my character and see where the story went.

I think if they had spent as much time with the actual minigames as they did with the storyline, this would have been a blockbuster.

Even with its weaknesses, it's a fun time waster. You can pick which style games you play. The distressed citizens of your town can be, surprisingly, told no. And if you lose the minigame, no problem...no penalty. Just play it again.

I give this one major kudos for fun and a great story to enliven a very tired genre.

Spandex Force to the rescue!

This game is wonderful in so many ways! I tend to get bored with match 3-games rather quickly, but as this combines several diffrent styles it keeps it rather fresh.

You collect money to buy equipment and upgrades, reputation to move through grades of fame, clues to meet bosses and move up a level, rescue civilians by beating the clock (that tend to get in danger over and over again), stop robbers, collect mental, elemental and body powers to beat bosses and robbers... There's fighting upgrades, both powerful items and new fighting styles... The list goes on and on!

But yeah, it can get a little repetitive, so take a little break and do something else and then come back to collect all the goodies the civilians have dropped for you!

All in all, five stars for the storyline (totally awesome!) and 5 stars for being the best match 3-game I've EVER played!

So Far Beyond My Expectations! *WOW*

Wow. Upon starting this review, the only thing that comes to mind that truly attributes this game with the recognition is deserves is simply....wow.

I stalled playing this game at first, but now I can't seem to get myself off of it!

In a nutshell, you're a superhero, who, in order to save the city he/she lives in, the hero has to: save citizens, take down the bad guys, rescue animals from inevitable imminent danger, and keep the city safe for all. In order to accomplish this, the player has to complete certain mini-games (most dealing with the match 3 style, but also other styles that I'm having difficulty trying to describe. One that I love is called "Fire Match", or something along those lines, that is the same game play style of the old "Dynomite!" franchise, if any remember that)

In order to complete increasingly difficult tasks, you get to, in a way, upgrade your hero's abilities. You increase in level, reputation/rank, and abilities. You're also allowed to buy certain items & new attacks that further increase the strength of your character.

There's really only a few things about this game that sort of bug me (if you can even call it bugging me, the game makes up for itself!).
1. The graphics aren't as good as the game itself
2. The game generally starts out running normally,
then begins to slow down (lags...), but then I
restart the game and it's fine.
3. The game is a good start with an extremely strong
and adjustable foundation, but I don't believe the
creators utilized this, leaving the player
desiring more.

Now in conclusion, with all negative views behind us, I'll be as honest as humanly possible. If you like either Superheroes or match 3 style games, don't question whether or not to buy this game, just buy it, and I GUARANTEE, you won't regret that decision.

When you need money, rep., or clues, but is bored of the match-3 games, just leave the game alone and when you come back, the people dropped much of them, plus there are many minigames waiting for you... I collected 500 clues just this way
