What a masterpiece

This a hidden object game with a difference..

In most games in this genre, you need to find objects from a list in rooms cluttered with dozens and dozens of out-of-place items.

But in this game, your 'room' is a classic work of art, which makes most of the objects you need to find fairly obvious - HOWEVER, you can only click on them if they are one of five currently in your list.

Sounds fairly easy right?

Well, for the most part it is, though many of the objects are new to these games, and not always what you might expect. Many of them are darned elusive to find as well!

Each level consists of a single picture, but each level is unique.. I'm in the 50's so far and still going!

Along with the hidden object levels are 'spot-the-difference' levels as well, and some of these differences can be very hard to spot.

Fortunately in both games you receive 3 hints that point out something you need to find.

One of the nice touches in this game is the scoring. For each hint unused you gain extra points, the time remaining also gains you points and you lose points for wrong clicks (which provide an audible warning each time). This gives you a lot of incentive to save hints and making indiscriminate clicks!

There is a background story that is slowly revealed after each level, but I'm not going to tell you how that is unfolding.. It drags out a little as you might expect with so many levels, but you find yourself wanting to know what's going to happen. :)

In summary; the downside to looking for objects in paintings is that the objects themselves are mostly obvious. But on the upside, unlike most other games you aren't returning to rooms previously explored & knowing where many of the items are already.

There's another bonus too.. You get to view some great works of art that you've probably never seen before - and have fun at the same time!

Secrets of Great Art is a great game - try it!

An Artistic Effort and a Very Good One at That

When I actually downloaded the trial version, I just thought that the reviews were good and that I should actually give this game a try. But now that I have completed the game, I do feel otherwise.

As the other reviews have mentioned, this one is easier, since the actual place where you have to find these objects are in paintings. But then, the trick with this one is negative points for each wrong click. Another advantage is that, if u don't use any hints, then they add up to your score.

The objects to be found are pretty simple, but as you proceed towards the later levels, I observed that they tend to hide these things even better. Nevertheless none of the levels took me more than 4 minutes for completion.

One more thing worth mentioning is that, more than the objects, the paintings themselves were very commendable. I am not an art freak, but they were all beautiful in their own rights. Thus the graphics were actually just the paintings and yes they were awesome for me.

The sounds were soothing, and I myself started humming to it when I was playing. Sticks to your mind and keeps ringing in your ears. The gameplay was original and I loved the storyline. Finding objects in paintings was an awesome experience.

As a final note, I say that all you people who love these kind of hidden object games should give this game a try. I was addicted, and I bet that you will be too.

Part 1 of an interesting story...

Yes, hidden pictures .... find the difference ...
But then there's the plot. Well, not just that but the pictures are ART so you have to enjoy that.

This is one of the few hidden picture games that does take away points for EACH wrong click .... which it gives you a count at the end. I wish the list didn't stay short as I find stuff and then have to wait for them to show up on the list....but everything wrong in the picture goes before the level is up.

Music ... a bit repetitive??? Well... yeah, but we all have our complaints on music don't we LOL. This music is a bit like the trek or discovery soundtrack on a movie.... That's my take anyhow...

If you like hidden picture games, you can't go wrong with this one, I just want to play the other part as it ends with.... TO BE CONTINUED.
