A HIT with new ideas (and some but's)

I have to be honest rather than write a short gushing piece that's full of praise as seems to be the way, because I can only speak of how I found this game. It does have a lot of positives but also quite a few negatives (for me, feel free to see things differently).

GOOD BITS: Great graphics and new ideas! The graphics and storyline are pretty good, the game doesn't feel cheap, and I encountered no bugs or hangs. It is based on the same premise of Diner Dash and co' but there are little add in pop-up bits you need to select from (that are more reminiscent of Posh Boutique) that add a bit of interest and flavour. Upgrades are pretty standard (equipment upgrades, coffee, helpers, magazines, chairs etc) but plentiful enough. The product sales part is also a positive. There is nothing 'outstandingly' innovative here but it is a very well made game of the type. All good.

BAD BITS: Ok here's where i'm honest, some of these may be niggles more than bad points but i'll leave that to you to decide. The main thing that bugged me here was the interruption in gameplay as you can't click very far ahead because you're constantly interrupted by the pop up parts (mentioned above). It's hard to get a flow going so to speak! I found myself just getting irritated and wanting to turn it off, partly because of this, but also partly because I was getting really bored! It's a very 'samey' kind of game, nothing happens or changes much and nowadays with such amazing games like Build In Time, Virtual Villagers, Shopping Blocks, and even Dairy Dash around, we (maybe just I) need a little bit more.

As mentioned, this game has a few similarities to Posh Boutique with regards to the scroll-thru options mid game, but it's not quite as good. Clearly I found it a bit boring but it seems a lot of others didn't so i'll stand in the middle ground and say that there's only one way to find out - demo!

Verdict: Definitely worth a demo if you're a Diner Dash style addict.

Worth a try, at the very least...

If only there was an attendant for the register...

The hardest customers in my opinion are the couples... Each is very patient but it's hard to move two people at once...
The graphics of this game are very well done and the gameplay itself is very straight-forward; the stations are even colour-coded so you can glance at a patron's thought-bubble and tell where they want to go next instead of having to try to decipher what the picture might be.
It isn't hard to keep up with caring for the customers, but you do have to keep an eye on some more than others (as some walk in angry, and others get tired of waiting very quickly).

This game requires just enough interfacing from the user; you can hire employees but there are still things Sally has to do herself. It isn't possible to get bored in this game, and earning expert goals is very rewarding since it's difficult, especially later on.

Addictive game... for a while.

Overall this is a great game, better than its predecessor. Many upgrades will keep you entertained for hours.
On the downside, it gets rather repetitive after you've upgraded most of the items.
A note to "JQueGameLover"... You can sell more items than 4 (as I'm sure you've found out by now). All you have to do is upgrade the display several times.

Sally's Spa

Wow!!! What a fun game to play. The first levels are real easy, but it gets tougher soon. Original game, soothing, relaxing music. The graphics are good. Give it a try, this is fun!

Relaxing and pretty Graphics are probably the biggest plus..

While this game and it's prequel, Sally's Salon both start out pretty well, with lots of upgrades to buy and new customers every few levels - I have to agree with some other reviewers that it gets rather repetitive after a while. Once you've gone through so many levels, there are no more upgrades to buy (or that are really worth buying) and it literally feels like you're just playing the same level over and over again.
I have to admit, I mostly enjoy this game because the levels are beautiful and soothing. It's more like my relax and don't think think game, rather than necessarily a "fun" game.
