Relaxing and charming

I found this game quite special... it has a very simple gameplay, yet I found myself feeling the old "just one more level"-feeling again. The goal is always simple, build a network of "pipelines" without an open ending anywhere on the board. It reminds me of the game Plummit, only this time you can move the pieces anywhere, you don't have a strict time limit, and you can always discard the unnecessary pieces. Sounds simple? It is. But it's lots of fun, really. The special pieces, the color bonuses and the other, "field"-bonuses guarantee that the gameplay is never monotonous or repetitive. And I have to mention that the graphics are beautiful, especially how Runic reacts to the different bonuses.
The game has a storyline in it, altough it's not really connencted to the gameplay itself, but it is charming: Runic is writing blog-like messages, and different animals comment them according to their personalities. Personally, I liked this part too.
The music is nice, not too repetitive and quite relaxing. Perfect for this game.
Overall, I would say, that this game is for children, but adults can have fun with it too. It's good for relaxation: simple, but not simple enough to just click arond. You have to use your brain, but nothing is making you to rush. Perfect after a long, but not mentally exhausting day.

Strange and beautifull

This game is very strange, you have to solve the puzzles to make the little fox find his way home. If you like Fiber Twig, you're gonna like it. Nice and well balanced

Surprinsingly, a lot of fun!

I usually stay away from games that are of the pipe genre, but the graphics just peeked my interest, so I took a look. This game must be an import of somekind, and that's really part of the charm, as non North-American games take risks, and this one does just that.

What's striking about this game is its versatility. You are to build a segment of pipes but are given full control as to how this is going to be done. You have pieces sliding in on a conveyor belt, with a no-penalty trashcan that has very lineant intervals. You'll also be fed with some creative and larger pieces of tile, and score mild bonuses for color matching, if scoring points is your thing.

The versatility lies in the fact that when a power-up appears, you can pretty much slam any fitting tile there to pick it up as it it not required of you to actually "get there". Strangely, any pre-set pieces on the board can be moved around. It's little touches like these that make for true freestyle play.

Strangely, the programmers do not let you hot-swap a tile for the one currently in place, and the asterisk/wild tile never really picks the BEST junction.. that is, you might want a straight-pipe, but what you'll be given is a terminator tile.

I liked this title, and while the animated cat (who consists of the ONLY piece of real-time 3D) is only there to purr and dispense powerups, helping what would otherwise be a lonely and solitary game.

Quirky and impressive.
