A good buy

The only game I have ever finished playing and played it repeatedly was and still is Burger Shop, which I am still waiting for a follow up. I didn't like Burger Rush since I love Burger Shop. Restaurant Rush is interesting because it serves more than just burger and fries in a match 3 game but because it has various food types as well as ingredients, utilities, recipe and even music jukebox upgrades. The gameplay is easy enough for the first 3 or so restaurants and it gets harder as time goes by but still quite repetetive after a while since the same old ingredients and same old match 3 game. The graphic though is delicious, appetizing and simply stunning. The sound was fantastic, with just the right and very accurate sizzle sounds. If the game play bored me after awhile, the graphics kept me going.

Anyway I also liked the fact that the developers did not make the game hard from the start. Like Burger Shop, it is easy enough to get through and hard enough to keep you challenged. It is fitting for those who simply wants a relaxing gameplay but because there are goals to achieve other than just monetary goals, it will satisfy the serious gamers whose aim is more points.

However seriously though although they're not the same I do recommend Burger Shop. Match 3 games aren't really my taste and I find Burger Shop more challenging and more addictive. That being said Restaurant Rush is one of the better and high quality ones when it comes to this genre and it is a good buy.

Runs great, fast-paced, lots of upgrades.

This is a fast-paced match-3 time management game. If you played the previous game in the series then you already know how it works. You have recipes, which customers order, and a certain number of matches will fulfill the order. You can upgrade your machines, buy new recipes, and so on. This game also adds bonus challenges. Overall it's really fun. Also, it ran with no lag on a really bad laptop.

Beyond Burgers!

Loved it!
I was a huge fan of Burger Rush, I bought it and played it over and over again. The addition of many and varied addons and upgrades, plus playing different recipes for different restaurant types is just fabulous.
I was always hoping they'd come up with a Burger Rush 2, but to my suprise they went above and beyond with Restaurant Rush. Not too difficult, fun for the whole family!

Tips & Tricks for 'Restaurant Rush':

Recipe Buying Tip: Do not, under any circumstances, waste your money buying cheap recipes. You don't need them. For each restaurant type, start by buying the cheapest one of the four most expensive recipes. Do not buy any more recipes for any restaurant until you start to have a harder time meeting the Expert goal. When you start having trouble, that's when you buy another recipe. Remember, you can restart a level if you see you're going to lose. If you see you're going to lose, don't finish the level and just go back to the Main Menu, then upgrade/buy what you need, and start the level again. Sometimes you don't even need to buy a new recipe, just to upgrade some ingredients.

Song Buying tip: The only songs you should ever consider buying are Hey Julienne, Hotel Cauliflower, L'Amour, and Stoveway to Heaven. The rest you can completely do without! Don't buy the cheap songs. The levels that have the customers that like them are the lower levels where you can easily pass without even using the jukebox at all.

Other tips: Upgrade your ingredients, but don't spend all your cash on them. Upgrade smartly. Upgrade the ones that are used in a lot of recipes first, like the veggies and beef. Upgrade the rest a little at a time. Check your recipes to see how they're being affected by upgrading a particular ingredient, and if you don't see the value going up, don't upgrade that ingredient any more. I also recommend not upgrading your soup and drink's VALUE very much. Even at max value they are not that profitable. Upgrade their efficiency (you need to if you want to win the bonus challenges) but save your money by not upgrading their value too much.

Tip to easily win the Chain Bonus Challenge: Make chains of three orders, not chains of two orders. If you chain two orders, you get ONE chain bonus. If you chain three orders, you get TWO bonuses. Although the number of orders you need to complete doesn't change, chaining three at a time very often is the difference between winning and losing the bonus challenge.

Using Power-Ups to your advantage: Don't use the stove unless you can take out an iced ingredient with it, or unless it can help you by re-arranging a board that doesn't have a lot of matches left. Save your milkshakes for expensive orders... don't use them on a customer who only bought a $10 dish. Check for possible 5-in-a-row matches before sending out your last order of the day, and also check that you clicked on all cash registers and tokens that might be still on the board. Unless the level has a No Angry Customers bonus challenge, don't send out your last order as long as you still have milkshakes and/or deserts. Keep playing to get more tokens.

Dessert Upgrading tip: Do not upgrade unnecessary things. You can get up to Day 40 without buying a single dessert. DO NOT buy the desserts until at least Day 40. It's just a waste. You can get Expert and Bonus on every level without them. Past Day 40 it depends on how good/fast you are at matching.

GLITCH work-around: There is a glitch where if you restart a level, sometimes you no longer get any milkshakes. If you see this happening and it's affecting your ability to beat that level, quit to the Main Menu rather than restarting the level again. When you select the level again, the glitch will be fixed.

I don't worry about getting to expert. Work on the orders that are more expensive rather than the $10 ones. You don't want to lose these customers.
