Professor Fizzwizzle and the Molten Mystery: Quite possibly the best logic game around

The original Professor Fizzwizzle was an excellent game, and I'd have to think the only thing holding it back from becoming one of the most well-acclaimed games around was the fact that it got very little exposure. It was as original as games come - no matching three tiles, blowing up aliens, or rescuing princesses. Just get from Point A, the entrance tube, to Point B, the exit tube.
Ah, if only it were really that simple. Oh no. There were plenty of things blocking your way to success, from simple gates to dangerous Rage-Bots. Professor Fizzwizzle and the Molten Mystery expands on the previous game in a variety of ways. There are many more objects (and the Rage-Bots have been replaced with more agile but equally dim-witted Bat Bots), such as teleports, heat guns, and rickety bridges. And get this: there's an UNDO feature. How cool is that?
At first, the game will seem much too easy, and come off as a variation on Sokoban. You need to play a little further into it before you realize the amazing depth (and difficulty) of the puzzles. Sure, the first few Regular levels could probably be completed with ease by the average trained monkey, but by the end of the Advanced level set, you'll find yourself with very little hair left. Of course, if you're the impatient type, you can just click on the "Show Solution" button (although it's often humiliating to see how easy the level really was).
Perhaps best of all, the game includes a full-featured and incredibly easy to use level editor, with which you can make your own mind-boggling puzzles. And to top it off, there's a nice community to share your levels.

I wish I could think of something bad about the game to balance this review, but I can't. The graphics may not be incredibly detailed, but they still look great, and fit the game perfectly. It's the same thing with the sound. And of course, level design is outstanding (and in a game like this, very important).

Innovative and Addictive!

The Professor FizzWizzle games have always intrigued gamers of all ages with its innovative puzzles which simply involve getting the proffessor from point A to point B in each carefully designed level.
This game is very similar to the first game in the series with a few add-ons. Graphics are cute and will appeal to younger gamers a lot. Gameplay is simply addictive because of which you will find yourself spending hours trying to convert the diiferent 'obstacles' in the game to objects that help you in your goal of reaching the professor to the level exit.
If you like games like 'The Incredible Machine' and 'Eets' then I reccomend that you at LEAST try this game out cause then you wont be dissapointed.

The Prof is back!

And finally, the true sequel to the Professor Fizzwizzle game is here. Although FizzBall was a very good game, it was "only" a breakout with a large twist, not a puzzle-solving one, like Molten Mystery here.
The good Professor has found himself in troble again, but this time at least not his own bots try to make his life more difficult, but one of his ex-students and her new and improved (Bat)Bots. The goal of the game remained the same, the player has to get from one point to the other, and it looks really easy at first (yet again), but only for a short time. The puzzles get more and more difficult, and the new addons help the game to acquire that goal even faster. You can encounter now teleport gates, bridges, steel barrels, heat guns... the arsenal the Prof can use to cross the levels has doubled, but it didn't make the task easier, it made the levels even more complex. And to make the challenge a bit tougher, a step-counter was added also, so the players can now compete over the net about who can make through a level in the less steps (and to make it a challenge, the built-in puzzle-solving videos now always use the least-effective routes to show the solutions).
The graphics remained the same, not too much improvement in that departement since FizzBall. The music is nice, not too repetitive, perfect for a brain-twisting puzzle. Overall, this one is a good, or should I say, near-perfect sequel here, which has puzzles for the whole family, so if you like puzzles, try it, it is a real jewel among them.
