You will actually get better at Poker...

Poker Superstars II is a really well-done Poker game where you can play against a bunch of Poker "celebrities" just like on TV. You can also upload your own picture so you can virtually "sit" at the table with these Poker masters.

This is the only computer poker game that I have ever played (that wasn't online against real opponents) where I thought that sometimes I was being outplayed. In a few hands against Barry Greenstein, he would sucker me in for a bunch of my chips...I actually got nervous playing against him.

The AI is really well done and not predictable in a pure sense. Sometimes you might feel "Ok, I shouldn't have been able to get away with that with the REAL Johnny Chan"...but that's a good thing. How much fun would it be if you always got beat?

Don't get me wrong, though...I think you can actually learn more about the game by playing against this AI. I started off playing fairly loose/agressive to start off with, but quickly changed my tune as other players (like Barry) didn't "take the bait"...they simply slow played their good hands to put me in the poor house.

I love playing poker, and this game is really well done. If you can beat the other Poker Superstars at the tournament, submit a quick review here so I can read it...as I have yet to do it in many, many hours of play!

Very nice game!!

If you really want to improve your play at Texas Hold'em I recommend buying this for these reasons:

1. Each player (4 people max) have their own cards. These cards track of how well you play (loose/tight) the three game modes, your pot win percentage, as well as your best hand. The stats are kept seperate for each mode (Limit, season and Round)

2. There are a number of scoreboards the track various categories for each mode.

3. Two difficuly levels: Ametuer/Superstar.

4. There is plenty of help so you can learn the game.

I aslo enjoy playing against the poker stars.
The music, graphics and sound add atmosphere to give an enjoyable game!

Best game since wik!

This is now my favorite game! Ever since I heard about it I was dyin to get the full version. Now it's about the only game I play from reflexive anymore. Poker superstars ROX!!!

Try not to play too many hands. Poker is a game of luck and skill, but also of opportunity. The best players fold more often than it looks like on TV. Play tight in the early game, and loosen up in the later game, when there are fewer opponents. You will get good hands sometimes, and you can take better advantage of them if you haven't spent your chips on previous risky hands.

Stealing the pot can work in this game. Watch how your opponent's act. If they seem cautious, you may be able to steal the pot by betting aggressively and forcing them to fold. However, this strategy can backfire, especially if you don't have a strong hand...but it can be useful to push around an opponent when you have a good chip lead.
