It gets harder, trust me

The first few levels are really easy because they're tutorial levels. Just look up their official solution video to the Robin's Hat level and you'll see that this game gets difficult.
The scenery doesn't change (for a few levels) because the game progresses through seasons. When you get through summer and into fall, it changes drastically. There aren't Christmas decorations everywhere throughout the game because you generally don't see those sorts of things any other time of the year.
You can't judge the game by the demo alone, because in that 45-minute span (if you're meticulously trying to meet all the goals) you'll probably only make it through the tutorial levels. The secrets get harder to find, the goal times get harder to meet, and you get hazards that will really slow you down. My biggest problem is the horses since they keep eating my apples and they can just take them right out of the basket.
So if you really think this game is just for little kids, please go watch the solution for the Robin's Hat level. I haven't even made it up that far (and I doubt I will, haha) and I can already tell you that it doesn't stay easy. At least to me it doesn't, and I've played Earthworm Jim.

A Santa's hat is not enough too celebrate Christmas...

This game looked like a good little plaftform/adventure game, that is why I tried it. And I have to say: I was disappointed.
Mostly every game of this type is aimed for children, but a lot can be fun for bigger children or even adults. This game is ONLY aimed for very YOUNG children! I think anyone over 12 will be bored with it.
In Piggly, you must collect apples with a pig and bring it back to your house. You don't do much things apart from that, which makes the game boring, but for children, it might have a "longer life".
The colours used are nice, but the level designs do not really changing, and the background is left without any decorations, suprising elements, which creates a highly annoying monotone for the game. This might not bother young children, who posssibly just wouldn't care about it...but showing them (for example)"The Great Tree" after this game, would change their minds, and make them see the difference.
The sound effects are simple... too simple.
The gameplay is the hardest point to rate here, because it mainly depends of the age of the person, but also of the mood you are in. It's easy to play, but it can also be annoying and boring. On the other hand, I can easily imagine this game being a small child's first video game experience.
We hear a lot "for adults only", and not so much "for children only", which can be said for this game. The game seems unfinished, with missing elements, with the company of simple graphics and sound effects. It looks pretty much like the idea came recently, and they quickly wanted to make this game until Christmas. And since we are talking about Christmas, it's important to mention that we wouldn't realize that it's a "Christmas version" if it wouldn't be in the title: A Santa's hat and some Christmas lights on the pig's house are the only elements which make this game look...a bit christmassy.
