Pathstorm

You know where it went in. You know where it came out... but how did it get there? Roll a ball through covered pathways watching and listening carefully for any kind of movement. By paying attention to visual and audio cues, you'll be able to isolate the locations of those hidden obstacles and win the level. Did the ball just hit a Bouncer and then a Splitter right there and there? Perfect! That's one path down, and a whole bunch more to go! Welcome to the world of Pathstorm!

Best puzzle game in a long time

Pathstorm is in my mind the best true puzzle game to come out in a while. It may seem easy at first (like most games do), but this one gets mighty tricky as you progress. I've been at it for a while, and I'm finally reaching the final stages.

Graphics are excellent, music is superb (new-age type stuff, nice to play to), and the sound effects are critical to the gameplay, so keep the speakers on.

Did I mention there's a level editor included, and there's a forum for sharing custom made levels. It's the best of all possible worlds, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a Pathstorm 2 if there ever is one. I haven't found any glitches to speak of (I'm running on Vista), and I'd recommend Pathstorm to anyone who enjoys puzzle style gaming. Get it! At least try it!

A simple game of marbles but...

What's this? On first sight this game could be a mix between "shoot the marbles" and Windows' minefield... simple rules, easy to start: you have to throw marbles from gates until the exit.

That's all? Of course not. The game begins to reveals itself in the goals to met to complete each level: find all the HIDDEN items in the middle of field; and to to find such items you have to... yep, hit them with the marbles.

Also, every item will deflect or alter the path of the marble in several ways, so you have to stay "on the ball" literally to catch where that particular piece is.

Not only: every ball will ALWAYS reach ONE exit, so you have to deduct and calculate where such items are when your marble hit them, with eyesight, reasoning... and sound.

Yep, for a nice change, even the "bling" of the marble hitting a hidden obstacle could help you to better deduct the position of that damned last piece that you need to complete the level.

Ah yes, every item will affect marble's path in several ways: imagine a big, zany pinball or a japanese pachinko machine where balls are moved, multiplied and such.

And not only you have to find all the items in the field! In other special levels you will have to find the exit - yes, you will see the items, deflectors, multipliers and such, you will see the start of the path... but you will not see the ball! You will have, seeing as every item flashes as hit by an invisible marble, to find the exit guessing the ideal path that the flashing pattern suggested you... o_O

On the sound side nothing of special, the sounds of the items hit by marbles, some tune here and there...

Graphics are nice, the style of the game remember me some kind of native american pictograms, a fresh change.

So, this game maybe on graphics or sounds will not win prizes, but it's so original and ponderous that you will try some hard level the evening... and you will solve it the next morning, tired but happy.

Addictive, try it!

Not what you'd expect.

Ok, to be honest, i thought this game was gonna be boring as heck.

It was late at night when I decided to check for a new game and there it was, Pathstorm, I look at the pics, and read the description and thought, hmmm, looks boring, there's no way I'm downloading that, but then i said to my self -well lets not judge the game before trying it- and so I downloaded it.

Next thing I knew was that my 60 min. trial was over.

This game is by far some the best I've played in months, it's original, and SOOOOOOOOOO addictive, i thank you for this game, thanks to Oberon Media and everyone involved, this game will never leave my side.

DOWNLOAD IT.
PLAY IT.
LOVE IT.
