Why selling land is better than parking cars

This is like a half breed DinnerDash. You don't buy upgrades you choose what you would like to upgrade the same characters, cars have colours and leave their mark like Flo's customers on their chairs. Other than that this is a different breed of animal.
This is more of a puzzle game than a dash game. True there are impatient customers, and things that will annoy your line, but the gameplay isn't serving customers, it's trying to shuffle cars. When a customer arrives you can see approximately how long they'll be and when you click on the person their car appears. You then pull it in to one of the marked spots, which is the start of the odd parking logic. You continue until people start arriving and wanting their car back, at which point you have to hope you have enough empty spots to get to their car, if you don't have an empty space and you didn't plan ahead, you're stuck until someone on the outside arrives, even though there is plenty of free pavement you could leave an extra car. Still limiting how you serve your customers means it's more challenging and more fun.
Unlike DinerDash where your customers remain stationary you can re-park cars without disturbing the colours already on the pavement, which means you can park all your yellow cars in one space then re-park them somewhere else instead of spacing out your colours. If you do it the way the game intends then you get several 2x spaces instead of one 6x space. It means you can't park the same car a dozen times in the same space for a bonus, but it does leave another window to help boost your score.
The only thing that really annoyed me was having customers not appear in the same colour outfit as their car. I had to spend more time clicking on each customer to find the right colour than I wanted.
I skipped the music since I haven't met a DinerDash song I like yet, the graphics are the usual DinerDash mediocrity and I admit I didn't finish the trial. Still this is more fun than you might expect from the na

Here's What they did RIGHT!

There seems to be a few strong camps in casual games; Hidden Objects, Dash-style, Poppers, and then those unique ones which stand on their own. While Parking Dash is clearly a Dash-style game, with so few "camps" and so many games, its easy to be just another "also ran". But in the tradition of all PlayFirst games, they don't change the general idea of the game, but they do a good job of keeping it new and fun!

Parking Dash takes a new spin on the Dash-style games by letting us park and return cars at local (albeit seemingly too small) parking lots. The characters are well done, the graphics are cute and fun, the story is ... well, its the same story as every Dash game...but what keeps it fun is PlayFirst knows how to do these well. Game balance is all a Dash game needs, and those folks never forget that.

If you love (as I do) Dash games, this should be on your Must Play list.

Ratings:
Graphics - 4 (Doing something NEW is the only way I give out fives here)
Sound - 4 (Not a lot of mood setting music, but its good and fun)
Gameplay - 4 (I always wish we had more variety in power ups so it wasn't so "eventually you get them all" style)
Overall - 4 (Its not reinventing the style, but its a solid contributor)

Good puzzle & time management game

I really like this game & I am not a fan of the Diner Dash games, (though I do like Wedding Dash). The only thing this game has in common with the Diner Dash games is the character. This one starts off easy, but gets pretty difficult in the later stages. You really have to plan your strategy to fit the cars in right & keep everyone happy. There are a few little clicking glitches. I buy very few games & I bought this one & was not disappointed. I hope there will be a Parking Dash 2.
