Strange Town
I've played this under it's other name -> Strange Town and loved it.
It's similar to Mystery Case Files, but with a quirky storyline.
You play a reporter, trying to find out why all the cats have suddenly gone missing in this strange town.
In order to speak with various people, they ask you to help find certain items for them, as with Mystery Case Files, there is a list of items you must find, shapes you must match against objects in the room etc.. as you question each towns-person.
There are about 20 stages, and the story gets odder and odder, involving an FBI Agent, a mysterious dark suited man, a crazy Scientist, and more eccentric characters than you can poke a stick at!
It's a LOT of fun, I recommend this game highly.
A couple of spelling errors here and there, but the game is fun, so they can be forgiven that ;)
The only other semi-negative thing I would say about this game, is that the objects you're asked to find, are always the same, they don't change, but it's still fun re-playing the game, even though the second time around, you'll know where everything is.
It's definately NOT Mystery Case Files, so don't expect it to be, this game is a stand-alone, and a good one, if you go in hoping it's going to be another Ravenhearst, you won't enjoy it, and it won't get the credit it deserves, it shouldn't be constantly compared to MCF.
In a review, it's great to compare games to others of the kind, but if you start your review with the knowledge that this game is similar to MCF, and go into it with the attitude, or thought, of "This game isn't going to be anywhere near as good as MCF", then it really isn't fair to this game.
No - It isn't MCF, and it wasn't meant to be MCF :)
Anyhow - it's a very pleasing diversion. |

BETTER THAN MCF
EVERYBODY IS GOING TO HATE ME AND THIS REVIEW WILL BE AT THE END OF THE LIST BUT I HAVE TO TELL IT: FOR ME, MYSTERSVILLE IS FOR LONG BETTER THAN MYSTERY CASE FILES. THE STORY IS BETTER AND THE GRAPHICS ARE 100% MORE ARTISTIC. THE LAST DAYS, I HAVE PLAYED THIS GAME NIGHT AND DAY. TRY IT IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT. |

Excellent
Well, this game is excellent, and every time you play it is different. The graphics are very artistic and the characters so strange -you really feel the mistery of the strange place-
Congratulations to Nevo Soft, and I want the second part too... |

Unique seek and find 3D game...but too short.
I was relieved to actually have a storyline of a sort, though it was a bit odd. It was fun to play the first time through. It was unbearable to play a second time. One cannot get a different reaction by coming in as a different player either. If your name is
George, and you're a guy, too bad George, they'll call you a young lady and flirt ever so slightly with you anyway. A bit low end on the user side. Good graphics, okay music. Nothing fanstastic, but listenable. |

THE BEST
In the last months I have played several demos of look-and-find games (Dream Day Wedding, Paparazzi, MCF), but for me Mysterville is the best of all: a good story, weird characters and excellent graphics. It should have more levels, but well, when I finished it I play again and every time is different. |
