I wonder whether Monarch is a sequel to the BKR series or maybe a new series in itself. In either case, it is a beauty of a game.

After a longawaited wait, the game is finally out. I didn't even bother to play the demo; I just purchased it. And I wasn't a bit disappointed.

Reflexive has made only a slight change here. The bombs have been replaced by potions; tikis by Butterfly King height, the skeleton fish have been replaced (oh yes u do have the bad guys here too) by the Frogs of someplace-I-don't-remember and of course, the fish have been replaced by Butterflies and great looking ones at that.

The only thing that I would have loved was Reflexive to change the sfx of the game coz all of them feel a bit borrowed from the BKR series. The gameplay has been eased up a bit, dunno why, maybe to attract even more people. The concept of breaking tiles and match-3 is the same, but the best thing I liked was the introduction of a story-line. That was quite an innovation, and Reflexive deserves a pat-on-the-back for that.

One more thing, if Reflexive could grant it; a screensaver of the butterflies on an animated background of all the flowers present in the game coz I absolutely loved the BKR ones. Hope my wish gets granted...

And to all the people out there, if u haven't played match-3, or if u r tired playing match-3, I say, come here n try Monarch and then don't blame me for ur adddiction. LOL.

Added: Ooooh, I forgot to mention this but every tenth level is full of potions, to make the game end in a faster and esier way. I love this game, absolutely.

Excellent

As usual, Reflexive knows its business, this game is just excellent and, yes, very similar to BKR, but that's a compliment. I just played the demo and I'm going to buy it, of course.

BKR RELOADED

THIS GAME IS VERY SIMILAR TO BIG KAHUNA REEF, BUT INSTEAD OF FREE FISH, YOU FREE BUTTERFLYS. AS YOU CAN EXPECT OF REFLEXIVE, IS A VERY NICE GAME WITH REALLY AMAZING GRAPHICS AND H.Q. GAMEPLAY... CONGRATULATIONS

HAVE A REFLEXIVE DAY AND A HAPPY SPRING ;)

Another excellent match-3 game from Reflexive. Splendid graphics and art but I would like something more original.

Monarch

If you liked Big Kahuna Reef and Big Kahuna Reef 2, you will love this one. The gameplay is nearly identical. A must have for those of us addicted to the match 3 type games!
