Oh, Life is a Circle..

The three Best Mah Jong games on Reflexive are: Tropico Jong, Mahjong Escape and Mah Jong Quest. I can't tell which one is better or which one is worth to buy, but Mah Jong Quest III really lets you choose a life.
There are 4 game modes: Quest, Freeplay, Tournament and Variations. The gameplay was like the previous one. But in Quest Mode, you have to make a life choice after each level, and your choice affects Kwazi's life. His life depends on you but ends as a metempsychosis whatever choices you make. Nice idea. And I agree with the viewpoint of the game that life is a circle. In a lifetime people build up karma, both good and bad, based on their actions within that lifetime. This karma affects their future lives and existences. People must take responsibility for their actions either within this life time or the next. Death is a key part of this cycle and is treated with specific importance. Death is the last samsara (cycle of life) referred to as the 'last sacrifice'. Everyone should make a wise choice before doing everything to live a happy life.

Great for mahjong players of all ages

Mah Jong Quest 3 is one of the greatest mahjong i've ever played.
There are 4 game modes "Story", "Freeplay", "Tournament" and "Variations".
In "Freeplay" the player may choose from a great amount of boards playing more or less the classical rules.
"Tournament" is a online competition, though it's not, what I expect from online competition. Player may not choose his opponent, he's simply playing his board and get's compared to another player.
"Variations" brings up a set of puzzles to be beaten against the clock.
The "Story" mode is the main feature. The player follows the life of a mahjong master from birth. Each level has a timelimit (which I think is very fair), goal is to match the golden pieces (not all stones must be matched), supported with many special pieces like a butterfly to raise a stone in level or changing one piecetype to baloons.
Between the level you will get questions how to live your life. The decicions made on the questions change the storyline. Between stages the story is told in comic style.

Graphic is good. It's not too realistic not to comic style. Stones can easily be identified.
Sound ... the effects are well selected and discrete (not too arcade style). The Music doesn't draw too much attention. Though I'd prefer Winamp in the background.
Gameplay is classic, click to match, rightclick on goodies for description. All very easy, like it should be.

What I missed is a tileset selection, but that's really all.

Overall the game is great for mahjong players of all ages.
