Little Shop of Treasures: HUGE Game of Pleasures
Wow, that was my first impression of this fantastic game.
It rivals Mystery Case Files, with it's brilliant graphics, vibrant colors and highly enjoyable gameplay.
You find hidden objects in various shops, whilst repairing your own shop.
There are question marks of all colors, shapes and sizes, hidden throughout the levels, that replenish your hints when clicked on, and that accumulate when not used.
With these particular hints, you aren't shown where the item is, but instead, are shown pictures of the item, making the game a little more challenging.
This game can get tricky, even for the most avid hide & seek style game players, so you won't be bored.
The clues are blended in perfectly, making for smooth, professional looking graphics, that will keep you playing over and over again.
You won't be able to stop at just one or two levels, so folks, be prepaired for bags under the eyes, because this one will keep you up, though the game itself can be finished fairly quickly, you will probably want to start playing in Blitz Mode, which is unlocked when the game is completed.
That's the only minus, I found it a little short, but that's ok, I'd replay this anytime, with no possibility of ever being bored.
This game is one of the best I have seen of it's kind so far, and is almost on a par with Mystery Case Files.
Massive heads-up for this one.
I'm positive anyone who gives this a go, will purchase it, it's that good!
Well worth the money! |

No horrors in this little shop!
I couldn't be happier! Hidden object games like the Mystery Case Files series are being released more frequently, and the quality is improving all the time.
Little Shop of Treasures is simply a delight for fans of this style of game. It's bright, colourful and the objects are very well hidden.
It looks as though a lot of time and effort was put into improving the gameplay for players.
For example, one of the usual drawbacks of this genre is that after playing a location a few times, you learn where the objects are and can go straight to them. So what the developers have done to overcome that problem is to change a few things around a bit. You can't always rely on an object being where you expected it to be, so this helps increase the replayability.
The hint feature works a little differently as well. For starters, you have to find question marks in each location to gain a hint for later use. The good news is that you can save these for later levels if you like, and use them as often as you like (until you run out). These hints are truly just *hints*. You won't be shown where objects are hidden, but for a brief period, you'll see what each object on your current list looks like to help you find it.
One of the other features is the 'blitz' mode, which you can play after you've unlocked all of a location's levels (or finished the main game).
In blitz mode you try to find some 60-80 objects in the location you select and see how fast you can find them all. I enjoyed this at first, but after working back over the levels to complete them all under 5 mins (then under 4) I realised that this was just helping me to memorise where everything is.. Ooops, there goes my replayability. You might want to skip this mode.
There aren't any between level puzzles or match games as you might be used to, but do you really need them? For me, it's all about finding hidden objects, and this is an excellent game for that.
Download it, play it, put it on your list! |
