Do not play this trash - literally.

This game is NOT supposed to be a sim game. It's a point/click adventure game. You're supposed to be finding clues and unweaving a story, not really simulating anything.

With that said, it's pretty poor. It's made by the same people who made Legend of Crystal Valley, which is a far superior game. The point of adventure games is to explore, to find out, to solve puzzles and challenges relevant to the story plot. In Iron Roses, you're pretty much just doing everyone's chores. Instead of finding any real clues, you're *literally* digging through garbage to find paper scraps, bottle caps, and business cards. That's really the entire game.

There are a couple of moments where you have to actually use some brainwork and solve a dilemma but 95% of the game is "Here, look through this messy rubbish and find something that will be totally useless to your quest"

When you're not playing trash collector, you're given a few mini games, similar to guitar hero, a couple of matching games, and some traditional "put the puzzle pieces back together." None of the mini games are challenging in the least and I'm willing to bet a 7 yr old can easily accomplish every mini game on the first try.

And I have to say, throughout the entire game you're led to believe that Iron Roses is one of the best bands ever, but then once you hear it, the music is a HUGE disappointment. It's not even mediocre.

If you're looking for an adventure puzzler, I'd suggest trying out Legend of Crystal Valley or Emerald City Confidential and passing up Iron Roses.

Sim game ala Guitar Hero

Ironroses is a Sim game by way of Guitar Hero. As with most Sim's, there is lots of dialogue in the beginning to get you started and to give you a history about the character and what your objectives might be. This game also has mini-games spread through-out the game to break up some of the monotony.

The 3-D character graphics are poor to fair. The people look like robots. I've seen better character graphics in regular 2-D games. The voice acting is about the same as the character graphics. It almost sounded like one girl (or guy) doing all the voices but just changing their voice up a little. However, I did like how the characters did have a sense of humor, as one might have in the real world.

Great game idea about getting your band together. If Sim's are your type of game, give this one a go. You just might like it. For me, I'm going to pass.
