Hidden?

More like dang near impossible to find...

This has to be one of the toughest and more challenging hidden object games I have played. Many of the objects are so well hidden that I ended up having to use all my hints just to find them.

Saying that though, once you know where they are, they're easy to find again. As chapter to chapter, when you revisit a location, everything is in the exact same place as before. But thats not my only bug with the game...

The concept with this game of being an amature detective isn't new, but the concept of having to use specialist gadgets to find certain hidden objects is a nice feature. This is kind of hit and miss though. With some of the gadgest, like the magnifier, you'll spot the object easily. But with others such as the diamond detector, its still nearly impossible to spot a hidden item and you'll spend ages scanning back and forth across the screen for the object. The way you earn these gadgets isn't much better either as you have to earn them through 'mini-games'. Though there is only five levels to each, if your no good at a certain puzzle, you may never earn some of the needed gadgets. Anothr problem is, with only five to earn, you'll play the last few chapters with no mini-games to take your mind off of the seek and find portion. There are 'end of chapter' mini-games, but these are more hunt the item games 'like spot the difference', or 'find ten like objects'. The final flaw I've found with this is that some objects are so small or so well hidden, with the screen setup you HAVE to play in full screen to even stand half a chance.

So while the graphics are pretty much what you expect for a game like this, as is the sound, it does have some good features... but is unfortuantely flawed. Hidden Object game fans will love this for the high challenge it brings, but casual fans will give up in frustration. I'd recomend it to any fan of the genre, but it could be improved upon.

At least try the demo.

Pretty Good

Hidden Relics is not a bad game considering all the hidden objects out there.I found it to be enjoyable aside from a few things that I thought could have been better...

1. We shouold beable to keep our hints from previous chapters but no we lose them so my advice use up your hints within one chapter.

2).Scret Hidden Items-Now with this one I was a bit confused. Are we supposed to find these items within the various locations?? I looked but couldnt seem to find them.

and lastly,

Although the shop has some pretty good minigames I think there should have been some mini games in between levels other than just having the storyline.

To sum it up its a pretty good game so give the demo version at least a try..

Really good and challenging

I like very much all "Seek and Find" games, and I consider this one as a top one.

I found this game really good for some reasons :
  • Drawings are very detailed, but all objects are always recognizable
  • When you click on the name of one object, you get the drawing of this object : this idea is a sort of hint (especially for non-english people like me : I don't need to look all the time in my english dictionnary) => first, I try to find an object with only its name, and if I can't, I use its drawing
  • It introduces a new kind of search with the Hidden objects and the special devices ; this search is challenging as it is sometimes really difficult to find the hidden objects
  • Music is pleasant too
  • The story is good but there is no impact on the game

Even if the hidden objects search is a real challenge, it seems that there is no consequences if you find or not those special objects. The only result seems to be the grade at the end of each location (A+.. B- or something else)

The mini-games for accessing special devices are interesting too (the Memory games especially).

In one word, I really enjoy this game.
