Hammer Horror reborn

Well, I think you must have to be a certain age to appreciate the tongue in cheek humour in this game.
Picture Boris Karloff lurking somewhere in the background and you've got it. The sound effects are well thought out with crackling fires, and yes - those blood curdling screams enticing you to hurry up and find poor Janet.
The game is set in Frankenstein's castle where it is naturally dark and gloomy. Each level attained gives access to another room, and you can wander around at will.
I too used an awful lot of hints to find things but I hate it when a game turns into a 'point and click' object collection - after all it is a Hidden Object game. In any case, the hint button recharges really quickly and there is no timer.
The zoom feature is brilliant and, unlike most, the graphics become much clearer when turned on ... and for anyone reading the previous reviews concerning the bottles - use it when you are looking for them. They are all in logical places. Some are hidden behind others but look for the cork.
The game has a downside and that is that I felt that, after one hour and only an arm and a leg to find I had nearly finished and will not buy the full version without some idea of length of play.
Overall the game is real entertainment, but not for the children I don't think.

Janet will just have to stay dismembered

As much as I wanted to help Brad find his fiance Janet, the poor girl is going to remain dismembered because this game was awful! I am a fan of seek n find games when they are well done but this one wasn't. I agree with Valderra (previous review). The objects were near impossible to find..even WITH the clues. The objects were so tiny sometimes even after I clicked them I still didn't see what they were. I got to the wine room and had to stop. Hundreds of bottles and they all look the same! What was Hdo thinking? The girls screaming got on my nerves fast. Its too bad, the game looked like it had potential.

Frankly disappointed...

I have to agree that this game was not very good. Having to find Janet's leg twice, didn't thrill me to much. The graphics were pretty good but the items were at times very hard to find. To this moment I could not tell you what the difference was between the bottles that you had to pick and the ones that were just sitting around in the way! The trial was cool but would not purchase this game at any price.
