For a demo this would be a great game.
The gameplay is awesome. The premise is awesome.
This is definitely a game RTS lovers should try.
This is also a game Reflexive would do well to back.
This game is not worth $20 however, ONLY because of it's lack of content.
While having a very unique method of play this game simply lacks the content needed to maintin interest.
A story would be nice, though most hard core gamers really don't even read the story.
More buildings are a necessity for lasting interest, make them all upgradable.
I did like how the missle launchers didn't just get stronger, you got to choose what kind they were, so i would definately stick with that (having an upgrade tree).
I got to level 32 and was finally overpowered by sheer numbers which i found to be a drawback, by this time it was pretty much impossible to stop them all. Although i did get stuck far from resources which played a huge part in my defeat.
All in all i loved the game, but i was disappointed by the lack of content.
You have a winning game here, just add more stuff and you'll be the next WoW. |

More = Fun
The game is very nice to play. Addictive.
I got frustrated as soon as I realised, there was no story mode or more upgrades to do. I mean, Lasers and missles only ? We need something more. Also the aliens could be more complex in shapes. Also, automatic saving would be very usefull. Garden defense seems more tactical than this. But this is more fun, since its more realistic. Make a second Harvest, with more different stuff, more modes, a better menu, and you'll have game of the year award :) |

ADDICTING!
Wow, there's a lot of things you could do in thing game with a ton of modes. You'd basically have to understand how the functionalities work and after that it'll be clean as pie and you're good to go. This game is very enjoyable, however, can also be frustrating as endless waves of baddies come your way.
The music in this game has been slightly lacking, there are more blasting sounds than actual music. Which, in my opinion, would have been better if the music was heavier in terms that it is loud or louder than the ambiance.
The graphics is just, wow. For a game that is under 100MB, it really serves. I highly recommend this game just for it.
However, it wasn't just the music and graphics that topped it, it was the gameplay. If you enjoy tower defense games then you would enjoy it merely just for that. The strategic depth and creativity is off the charts. All in all, I'd give this game 5/5. |

Best defense type game there is
This is possibly the best defense game out there. 1 hour of gameplay simply cannot do it justice. To explore the many different aspects of the game and modes of play, you have to purchase this game. While it is true that the game has only a total of 5 buildings to choose from, surprisingly, this does not degrade from its "wow" effect. The graphics are very well done, sound effects are great, the music was just right and gameplay was just plain fun.
As a simultaneous rush of dozens of missiles and laser beams demolish your enemies, you can't help but find yourself either laughing out loud or screaming things like, "Take that!" |

Harvest for the world?
Exactly where to place this game is hard to say. Even though it claims to be a stratergy, and places like a very simplistic one, the actual style of gameplay ends up making it more like a real time defense or survival game.
Graphics and Sound for this game are both awesome. I can't fault them at all. For a game of its size they're both superior to similiar games of the same type that I have come across.
The gameplay however is where this game fails and falls on its face. As a so-called stratergy its extremely simplistic. You only have one resource to collect, and your building always have power so long as they are conected to your power grid and have enough power stations.
Thats where any ammount of skill with this game ends as it just becomes a fest of having to spam harvesters to collect credits, and then spam your defensive guns to defend against attacks. The link option for your guns is fun, meaning with enough you can create a laser network with %400 percent range and %4000 percent damage of the origional, but ultimately its useless as it never fires fast enough, or aims for the targets nearest to attacking your base. The only skill to defeating the enemy waves is to have more guns then them when they appear. Hardly great tactics at all.
As the blurb says, "Easy to learn, impossible to master". Thats because it is as things become too tough too fast for anything but the most hardened gamer.
This game could have been good, but with gameplay as it is I'd not recommend it to anyone. |
