Houston....We have a lame game....

I will make this review as short and to the point as possible.

The game is, to put it easily, Horrifically Horrible. The storyline of what I saw in the demo is complete trash. Everything about this game is simply unappealing.

Of course, I can't put too much blame on the creators, as all hidden object games made from now until the end of time, will be judged in comparison to the Mystery Case Files franchise. But sadly, this game utterly fails in an obviously feeble attempt.

A few of the negative aspects (emphasis on the FEW) are as follows:
  • More typos found in this game than all other games EVER made combined...
  • Rooms are completely unappealing to the eye (well, everything in the game for that matter...)
  • Audio is nothing to write home about
  • The way that the main character refers to himself (whom I'm assuming is Da Vinci) is so beyond a level of ever before seen grotesque self indulgence, that this alone makes me sick
  • The lighting in the room's makes it very difficult to find anything NOT hidden, much less hidden objects
  • The story line speaks for itself (Leonardo Da Vinci, arguably known for being one of the most artistically talented and intelligent humans of all time, spends his extremely valuable time searching for some lame idea, known as the "Philosophers Stone", that, OBVIOUSLY, turns anything it touches into gold [does this include the person himself who touches it? And if so, how come the people who created this heavenly object did not turn to gold whilst creating said object?])

Now, for the sake of coming from a view of neutrality, I will state the one only noted positive thing about the game.
  • The game isn't only a Hidden Objects game. Every other level is different (notice the differences between the 2 pics, complete the puzzle, etc.)

To draw to a conclusion, don't waste either your money OR your time on this game. I've wasted more than enough time on it, and am glad I wasted no money before trying the demo...

    Ho hum...

Normally I always get excited about my favorite kind of games on here but this time...I dunno.

Greatest Secrets has that same style of the Mysteryville series but it doesn't have that extra zing to give it that flare that other seek and find games have. For one, the in between puzzles were so easy that I found myself yawning a lot when I was solving them.
Some of the items are very hard to find because they're blended too well into the dark areas. If it weren't for the tips I would have to repeat some boards over. And speaking of the tips feature....after you use the tip it takes about a minute and a half to reload and you only have about ten minutes to find the items.

The music is relaxing but if you pay too much attention it does repeat itself and it leaves you having to hear the same diddy all over again. There's no special effects and no animated items that I'm use to seeing in these kind of games and no bonuses.

Maybe I'm too spoiled with these kind of games and was expecting this kind of game to have the usual perks other seek and find games have but it just didn't have it.

The greatest secret to this game would be is this enough to buy this game? I'd say the demo was enough to satisfy my curiosity.

    Tame

This is a very tame attempt at seek and find. The graphics are OK but some times the items you are asked to find are either spelt incorrectly or the description is wrong e.g. you are asked for a boot but it looks more like a shoe or slipper. It gets very boring after a short period of time, every stage is made up of find the difference between 2 pictures, match pairs of cards, find certain objects and make the picture by adjusting the squares. I certainly wouldn't consider buying this particular game because it is too easy if you want a good seek and find game I would recommend the most recent MCI game it is far better.
