Great graphics and game

This game had everything for a seek and find. The setting was fun and enjoyable and the graphics really make the game.
The objects are sometimes diffucult to find which makes for a great challenge and hours of great fun.

To the manor you are borne...

I think Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst was the first hidden object game I played where you were exploring a spooky mansion. Now it seems they are everywhere.

The Haunting of Majesty Manor isn't Ravenhearst, but it's still a competent and very enjoyable game.

Take my word for it, there are far more pro's than con's with this game.

The good side:

Crisp clear graphics! Unlike some other 'cursed' games, you won't have to go blind trying to work out whether that speck of dirt on your monitor is one of the hand drawn objects you are supposed to be looking for.

The objects are skillfully blended into the background, and vary from being easy to find to being well hidden.

Another advantage to this game's play is that after finding an object you don't need to wait for the animation to end before clicking on the next one.

There is of course a hint system to this game, and there are batteries hidden in the levels to replenish your supply if you need them. The hint feature works something like a geiger counter - move the pointer arond the screen, and wait for the clicking and lights on your device to indicate when you're getting closer until you're on top of it.

The ambient background sounds are also very well done and suit the game very well.

There are 15 main rounds of play with from 3 to 4 locations each round. You don't need to find all of the objects in any of the rooms, but if you have the time you can keep looking for the remaining items to build up your bonus tally, which earns you promotions.

After the main investigation is over, you then have to beat the clock by finding a limited number of items in particular levels to clear each subject until you've found the culprit.

The down side: No between level mini-games, but it doesn't matter, as they're not why we play these games anyway. The game is also fairly short compared to some others, and there isn't anything really unique about it.

Hidden object game fans will enjoy this - I did!
